Fantastic area. Plenty of place to eat and a nice sea front shopping area. Beaches good, and even a dog beach.
Campsite...tight, low branches meant we could only get on to the very small pitch at an angle, so not really any good for motor homes. Pay more and get a luxury pitch which is what we considered tight but acceptable. Toilet facilities are poor to awful. Shower heads broken, no hot water and only a few door locks. Two gates which should let you out to the beach and the town are locked, this means a long walk around the outside of the camp.great area, poor site.
Pleasant enough site and well positioned for walking into Cambrils. Larger units need to be careful as it is quite tight and those pitches without hedged boundaries etc can be quite intrusive. Bar and restaurant facilities pleasant and well priced and there is plenty of eating choice in town. Can get quite lively at the weekend! Would visit this area again but like a previous reviewer would probably opt for a different site mainly because of our unit size.
Cambrils is a lovely area. The site is very tight to get your motorhome onto the pitch with low overhanging branches everywhere. The owner cycled in front with arms windmilling to show me to the pitch.... I had no idea what or where he wanted me. A nice walk to the town centre with shops gallore. would visit Cambrils again but not use this site.
We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of November 2014 and loved it. It feels like you are truly in Spain. Well located with a 2 minute walk to beach and also Roman remains. 10 mins walk to Spar supermarket. The lovely port of Cambrils with its good seafood restaurants is only a stroll away along the promenade. There were enough shops, bars and restaurants open in the off season to meet demand. The pretty old town is about 1km inland and has a large market on Wednesdays. Half hourly buses from port area into beautiful Tarragona, well worth a visit. You can choose your own pitch. However, be careful of the low overhanging trees when pitching up. Larger units will need to go in on an angle. Probably best to arrive in daylight. The pitches nearest the sea also have kerbs to negotiate. Pitches are sand/dust, so can get muddy in wet weather. Many are not level as they have been churned up when wet. Reception open all day but the multi-lingual secretary is not there during siesta time, just Spanish speakers, so you just pick a pitch and go back later to check in. You have to pay for Wi-Fi. Good signal but slows at peak times.
This is the second time we have stayed at this site in the off season and can only say that it is very good value for money
The site is only a short distance from beautiful beaches , lovely long promenade and a town that has all you need.
The showerblock is getting a little tired but always very clean and the main block always had hot water in the showers.
We stayed a month at this site and thoroughly enjoyed it and can certainly give it our stamp of approval.
The site was busy on New Year\'s Eve, and VERY noisy! But otherwise it was very quiet, hardly anyone there, all facilities closed and the nearest Spar was about half a mile away. However it was clean and the toilets etc were ok. We did feel that the price was a little high for the lack of facilities. I\'m sure it will be a lovely place to stay later in the season though, would try it again.
We spent New Year's Eve at this site. It was horrible. A lot of young drunk all night. Screams and high all night music. Any control by the owners of the site. The next day the reception is closed. There is no way to put a claim. Truly a site never to return.
A well located site near the beach and lovely town of Cambrils with extensive cycle lanes all the way to Salou. The staff were pleasant and helpful and in the process of tidying the site with the removal of extra awnings, tents and other items from the caravans which are left to overwinter. The toilets, showers and washing-up facilities would benefit from modernisation although they were maintained in a clean and functional condition.
A beautiful campsite with tree lined avenues well tended and largely free of insects following the careful maintenance of the staff. Close to both the sea and the charming small town of Cambrils this site provides a perfect haven for a holiday on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. On arrival the helpful office staff allowed us to choose the pitch and remained really helpful throughout our 10 day stay. This help was particularly useful for us when planning a day trip to Barcelona. The facilities are spotless and cleaned daily although they could now do with some updating. At this time of the season there is space and peace and quiet for all and I would recommend a stay here for anyone planning a trip to this area of Spain.
We tried this site a couple of years ago but could not drive into any pitch as our Motorhome was 7.5m long and 3m high. The owners fail to trim the trees to allow 3m plus vehicles in. We did manage 1 night but left the following day. As we left there was an unfortunate Motorhome being impaled by one of the tree branches. I assume this site does not want Motorhomes. The shower block near us only had cold water. I will not be returning.
