It was a National holiday when we stayed here so it was busy. Unfortunately, because of this we were put into an area at the very top of the site with shared facilities instead of the advertised private washrooms. There were many people sent to the area and because of this the campsite set up makeshift electiric points in the middle of the field. There was clearly not enough room in the field for all the motor homes but they kept on coming late into the night. Non ACSI people had a reduction because they were put in the field but ACSI did Not! The washing up facilities were about 600 yards away. Behind our tent was a huge bright light like at a football stadium which didn’t go off until nearly 2am. We complained the next day and had a bit of an argument about it. They did switch it off about 11.50 the next night. We found the staff a little confrontational because they obviously didn’t like complaints. The town was well worth a visit so we wouldn’t want to have missed that.

We had heard so many recommendations for Camping Caceres that we felt it justified a visit.
Whilst my Spanish is not fluent by any means most camp receptionists tolerate my attempts to check in. The lady here was not welcoming in the slightest. Subsequent visits to reception or to the shop were met with indifference at best, mostly downright annoyance that we'd dared to disturb her in something important, usually counting bits of paper.
She did provide all the necessary information on check in so we installed ourselves on our pitch. The little cabins are very nicely decorated, a bit smelly when we first went in. However, I can't quite see the point in having individual facilities, especially as it makes the site look very regimented and not at all attractive.
Don't believe the receptionist (she told me it was too rough a path) as it is possible to walk through the olive groves to reach the town. The first few metres behind the football stadium are pretty grim as there's loads of rubbish but once away from there follow the two way marked walks all the way to the Parque Principe. There are terrific views across the plain in all directions. It's a super way to approach the city on foot and takes about an hour.
We stayed on Hispania Day so the restaurant was really busy and we didn't use it.

The toilet facility was a big pro at the campsite. We also appreciated the swimming pool on hot days. We were really disappointed by a lady at the reception as she seemed to be really annoyed by us when asking her something. We also didn’t like menu del dia we got in the restaurant, frankly to say it was the worst menu del dia we have had in Spain so far. The Wi-Fi connection at the campsite was terrible, as we needed the internet for work, we had to go to the restaurant where the connection was finally okay. The pitch was big enough but wasn’t separated from the other by bushes or a fence so if you have a noisy neighbour, it can annoy you. In my opinion, this campsite is convenient for people who need to crush there for one to two nights and are willing to cook themselves.

Yes I would echo the other GB review on here. Not a very welcoming receptionist, good to have your own toilet and shower, a buzzing generator sound all night ! But is was a pleasant site and next to the site running along it and continuing behind - walk for around an hour and get into the centre of Caceres across the hills - this is a good dog walk too ! - receptionist didn't seem to know about it !

This was our second stay. A real ‘plus’ to have our own toilet and shower. The pitch was a bit small. Restaurant and bar good. Bus to town very convenient stopping at campsite. Would definitely stay again.

The campsite resembles a terraced army camp, with a barrier at the entrance to the barracks. Once inside, the individual facilities are good but unheated. Each level gravel pitch has its own en-suite toilet/hot shower, as well as an outdoor table and chairs, drainage sink, tap with hosepipe and outside light. Reception has a swap-library, a cheery log fire and a less cheery welcome from a team who resent questions and resist giving information apart from details of the half-hourly bus into Caceres. They hand out a leaflet listing evening meals at the restaurant for €15, €20 or €25, with no mention of the good weekday lunch menu at €9.
Unusually, the ACSI 2017 book/card is on sale here, in a choice of languages. The camping charge for card-holders is reasonable, with the bonus of every 4th night free, and the free WiFi works well across the campsite.
The site's position, next to the football stadium and across from an industrial estate, does it no favours and it is a pity that there is no obvious path to walk or cycle into the lovely old town of Caceres: at least not obvious to any staff we asked!

This is the only site we have been on with individual bathrooms for each pitch. They were well equipped, clean and spacious. A welcome change. The pitches were very close together and the overall site was not very attractive. It was noisy in the evening due to loud residents, exacerbated by the close proximity of the pitches. Reception staff were friendly and accepted credit cards.

Staff very efficient. Little screening between pitches, not sure how often the wetrooms are checked (or cleaned) by staff. Gas supply for hot water ran out one morning and was quickly replaced (about 10 minutes after being reported) but could be a problem if you were part way through showering. Laundry machines only do a cold wash. Cafe/bar and shop seemed expensive for Spain. Like others we enjoyed the walk over the hill to the city.

have a look at the pitch offered as if you have a long outfit ,its difficult to get it out sometimes. adequate shop facilities.
bar snacks good prices.
some of the female staff on reception could do with more people skills
