Campsite De Haro is situated on the banks of the Tirón River, in the La Rioja region, renowned for its prestigious wineries. The lively town of Haro is within walking distance and the culturally rich town of Vitoria is also not too far away. The location is ideal for wine aficionados.

Pristine grounds

The elongated, level and well maintained site is beautifully landscaped with numerous trees. The touring pitches have a grass surface (quite firm) between the permanent pitches or on fields. They are not demarcated and are in full sun or (partly) shaded. The pitches vary in size. If you would like to rent accommodation, you can opt for a bungalow. There is a fence along the river, so that the campsite is also safe for small children.

Beautiful swimming pool

The rectangular, spacious swimming pool near the entrance looks beautiful and is ideal if you want to swim a few lengths. The swimming pool is surrounded by lush greenery which, as the day progresses, increasingly offers shade on one side. There are several sun loungers by the pool.

Festivities in Haro

There is a multi sports field where children and youngsters can enjoy themselves. Entertainment for children is offered in peak season. The small town of Haro, which organises regular festivities, is within walking distance. There, in numerous cellars, you can imbibe the tasty regional wines.

Snack bar

The camping shop has a limited choice of daily necessities in peak season and over weekends. There are good shopping facilities in the nearby town of Haro. Feel like a quick bite? No problem! The bar-restaurant is opened in peak season and during weekends.

Stayed here whilst visiting the Rioja region. Nice site with reasonable sized pitches. The shower block was regularly cleaned so all good. You can walk into town or to the Wine Estacion by the river. We had a biblical storm whilst staying here but the water drained pretty quickly. Nice site overall

I have used Haro for a few years now heading from Santander or back to with the campsite being of good quality but the entrance road has become so bad with potholes and broken road surface that you need a 4X4 car and off road caravan to safety enter / exit the site. They also haven\'t done anything to rectify the very narrow bridge just before the campsite entrance which if you have a 8ft wide caravan is very tight. As we tend to only use Haro as a stopover the use of the restaurant is a must but beware it doesn\'t seem to open on a Tuesday.

We have stayed here on arrival by ferry into Santander or Bilbao for the past 10 years, also prior to departure retuning home, ports easily reached within 3 hours. Reception open until 9 o\'clock in the evening (21.00 hrs) which is very handy if arriving late at the ports. Close to town and it\'s many attractions (mainly wine related) and shops.HQ of the Rioja region which offers many days out so always worth stopping for a few days. Excellent dining facilities open from 8am until late.

A really pleasant campsite that holds its head well above other Spanish campsites to the West that we have visited. Friendly staff, easy access to potable water, electricity is stable. The reception has a bicycle repair station, so you can inflate your tyres and it is cheap. The wikiloc cycling app shows lots of cycle routes, there are lots of Bodegas (hopefully not indulge too much of each!). ACSI plots are large, we declined the premium experience.

Stay here all the time, nothing changes, it’s still very good, clean facilities, excellent area and great staff, will continue to stop off here.

A lovely site situated on the edge of Haro and a 10min walk to the centre. It caters for all ages.
Has a large pool and play area for children. Facilities are good, including laundry room.
Pitches are well separated but could be a bit small for larger vans. Staff are friendly and there\'s a nice reception area.
Good local shops.

Beautiful campsite in Rioja. It wasn\'t too busy and we stayed on the grass free-for-all area as the marked pitches would have been rather tight. The pool was (surprisingly and annoyingly) closed in June because it was off-season and the municipal outdoor pool (2 minutes away) was also not yet open. One of the reasons we chose the campsite was because it had a pool. We found the indoor municipal pool about 10 minute cycle away, thankfully.
The playgrounds were pretty good, however, and kept the kids entertained for a couple of hours over 2 days. There is a young kids play area with swings and stuff, then there\'s a big kids area with zip wire and climbing wall.
Facilities are excellent. Campsite is clean, tidy and friendly. Worth a stay of at least couple of days with no pool - maybe longer if the pool is open.

A big site with a lot of permanent lodges/caravans — we stayed on one of the premium pitches with water and waste and free WiFi with good reception. The food in the bar is a bit basic but the waitresses were lovely and made our evening very enjoyable. It is a nice walk into Haro which is a lovely little town - the street opposite the church has a very useful little supermarket which is open late every day. Need to put a few speed humps on the main road through campsite

Excellent site for visit to interesting town of Haro and the higher Rioja region with several local Bosegas. Site has small but adequate pitches. Good Motorhomes services. Few minutes walk in to town

Used for a couple of nights on our way to Torredembarra in Catalonia. Nice little town but crap wine. The two ladies who run the campsite cafe are brilliant providing good local Rioja and not the crap in the Bodagas.
