Originally we were intending to spend a few nights, but we ended-up staying for 12 days. The campsite is in the heart of a natural park and next to a river - it is a beautiful area and there is good walking nearby - including a waterfall which takes about 3 hours round-trip to walk.
Although the campsite does not have swimming facilities, there is a great municipal pool in the nearby village which we really enjoyed - most days we had the pool to ourselves! Of course, you can always go for a dip in one of the pools along the river. There is also an open grassy area right next to the campsite with a football pitch, and a children's play area with swings and slides.
A really nice area of Spain - unspoilt and we found the locals were really friendly. The campsite manager speaks excellent English, and there is a bar which also offers pizza, chips etc. We spent most nights in the bar, and overall this was a great campsite which was very chilled and quiet. People didn't seem to arise until after 9am - quite a change to most other campsites!
We found that the site was a good base, and there was enough to see and do in the local area - medieval villages, caves, dinosaur footprints, great wildlife (lots of soaring eagles) and a nearby village which features a hot spring in a river, where you can just sit and enjoy the experience with the locals.
It was a little chilly at night, but this was actually very welcome after the hot and sunny days.
