We were delighted by the welcome received after reading some of the reviews on this site. It\'s true to say that this site wouldn\'t be everyone\'s taste but it\'s perfect for a stop off or a few days stay or to use the local spa. There were a number of \'over winter\' northern european visitors who were all very friendly. Excellent large pitches (although little shade) and spotless bathrooms.
This English run site was, despite clean modern facilities, great restaurant and good pitches (although a little like camping in a car park), a great disappointment. Since our retirement we have stayed on 197 sites in fifteen countries. On 196 of those sites we have been treated with courtesy and respect. This is the first site in Spain we have visited with English owners and we were frankly shocked at the rude, offhand and discourteous manner in which this English owner treated us.
Despite the positives of this site we would neither recommend it nor ever return ourselves while the current management/ownership remains.
I regret having to give staff less than full marks. The campsite manager was excellent, and deserved full marks. The attitude of manager of the restaurant and bar seemed to change with the wind and was off putting to say the least. We might have used those facilities a lot more otherwise.
Excellent British run campsite. Toilets/showers spotlessly clean. No swimming pool (would have been closed in Nov/Dec anyway), kiddies playground or entertainment, which suited us, just the basics. Very good & reasonable priced restaurant open throughout the winter months as well as the summer, unlike a lot of other campsites. My wife & I spent 3 nights with our caravan & 2 dogs at this campsite for a very low price including electricity (easily the cheapest campsite that we have stayed on), & would certainly recommend it.
