Campsite Etxarri S.L. is ideally located between two nature parks, the Parque Natural Aralar and Parque Natural Urbassa y Andía. Hiking and cycling enthusiasts, in particular, will be able to indulge themselves in this region. The peaceful Basque family campsite is mostly quiet but comes to life on the weekends with its many Spanish permanent guests.
Between the age-old oak trees
The grounds are partly situated in a forest with tall, age-old oak trees. They offer both sunny and shaded pitches. The pitches are partly separated by low trees and privet hedges. They have a grassy surface. Want to rent something? Choose from one of the bungalows or the rooms. The communal sanitary facilities look neat and tidy.
Enormous swimming pool
The swimming pool, which is open to the public, is almost Olympic-sized and is well-tended. There is a separate paddling pool for younger children. Surrounding the pool is a sunbathing lawn with trees where you can lie on a towel in the sun or shade.
Numerous playing areas
There are numerous playing areas for both children and adults, such as a basketball court and a playground. Also fun: play a round of squash or tennis on one of the courts or a round of minigolf on the golf course. There is an entertainment programme for the children in the peak season.
Good food and fresh bread
The food in the campsite restaurant is excellent, although it is somewhat expensive by Spanish standards. You can, however, order takeaway meals to eat by the tent, caravan or motorhome. The campsite shop stocks limited supplies, but there is fresh bread available daily. You can do your main grocery shopping in the nearby town of Etxarri-Aranatz.

A drab sorrowful site in need of a real uplift, we visited this site 6 years ago and can honestly say the site has gone backwards in our estimation the tree branch height were not conducive to parking your caravan under any shade unless you wanted your roof scraped the toilets are still drab with no running hot water, and on checkout were told cash only and no receipt given, will not return again
We spent 2 nights in Camping Etxarri because of the location to visit local areas. Very easy to find and only 5 minutes from Autovia. No real complaints and enjoyed our stay. It was very warm and we found plenty of shade. A good dog walking area and lots of trekking paths for the mountains. Can\'t imagine we would have been quite so happy on a wet/cold day camping here. Wifi was available on our pitch!
A dark, damp and depressing site with many pitches occupied by old lichen covered caravans, awnings and tarpaulins. Many pitches were waterlogged and unavailable. Part of the site is occupied by a youth hostel. In need of maintenance and tidying up.
Noisy! Saturday night arrival music at bar really loud till after midnight, drunks arrived on site singing and screaming really loudly at 3am. Sunday night loud till midnight and then cars hand break turning and screams just outside campsite and up and down drive for 20 mins after midnight. Scary for our young family. Otherwise facilities and amenities and price really good. Not many foreigners and no English signs, all Spanish or Basque. Manager really harassed and too busy to be overly helpful but did all that was required and apologized profusely when I complained about the noise. We were glad to leave as felt a little intimidated.
