Camping Coll vert is an urban camping site in Pinedo, a southern suburb of Valencia. This is a great starting point for exploring this beautiful city with its lovely museums and impressive architecture. There is also the Playa de Pinedo within walking distance, one of the most beautiful beaches in the region.
Shade from the trees and nets
The camping pitches are located on grassy fields among trees and are accessible via half paved roads. Sometimes the trees are a bit farther apart, sometimes dense. The leafy canopy creates a nice shade. For extra shade, nets have been hung in some places.
There are separate pitches for campers and caravans with a paved surface. The hire accommodations are located on a neatly laid out section of the camping site. The terrain and the cottages are very well maintained.
Swimming pool, sun and sea
There are two swimming pools on Camping Coll Vert. The kiddie pool is relatively large. Around the other pool, also large, there are loungers and thatched parasols ready for the real sun worshippers among the campers. There is a short water slide in one corner of this pool. If you'd rather go swim in the sea or tan on the beach, you only have to walk 300 metres to the loveliest beach you'll find for miles around.
Valencia by bus or bicycle
If you want to go to Valencia, it's easy to take the bus. One stops every half-hour at the camping site. You can also ride a bike. Follow the eight kilometre Cami Verde, a cycle path along the beach to the centre.

Fantastic for cycling into Valencia. The Staff were very helpful. Free Internet. Pitch was good, we could get the caravan and car on with no problem.
We were met by an efficient young lady, who allocated us to a large, covered pitch, with an electric connection, but no access to water unless we walked through the pitch of motorhomes parked up opposite. There was a shop, with limited stock, similarly for a bar, but service could be slow. Wi-fi could be found in an attached conservatory, but, although free, was unreliable. The site was kept clean, and a new swimming pool was available. The toilets and showers though were in dire need of updating and repair. It\'s strength is the bus stops right outside the campsite to and from Valencia. There is constant traffic noise from the nearby motorway. The site was more of a transit stop - full every night, but half to two thirds empty in the morning. It deserves at least two nights to visit Valencia - a superb city. The owner is gradually improving the facilities, so hopefully the sanitation block will eventually also be improved.
This is a basic site that is very well situated for daily visits to Valencia. Upon arrival we were welcomed by a very friendly female member of staff who spoke perfect English. Initially when she showed us to our pitch we were a bit disappointed as there are overhead power lines over some of the pitches and there is quite a lot of road noise from the nearby motorway. Also the toilet block was very basic and in need of modernisation. However during our stay a lot of other motor homes and caravans arrived full of like minded people to ourselves. One of these included a 90 year old German lady who was driving her motorhome alone from Germany to Portugal. What an inspiration. Also we paid several visits to beautiful Valencia from the site both in our smart car and on the busy hitch leaves and drops off outside the campsite. Be aware that dogs are not welcome on buses in Spain . The free wifi on the site is only available at the bar which was closed during our visit, but the wifi can be found in a conservatory adjacent to the bar. Because we had transport we were able to also visit the Albufeira national park and some nice eateries within a short drive from the site. Overall just for its proximity to Valencia I would recommend this site for up to four days.
Only intended to stay 3 days (couple of days in Valencia and a day on the beach) but ended up staying 7.
Bus stop right outside gate and regular service to city centre in 10 minutes.
Facilities clean and more than adequate. Pitch a bit small but big enough for campervan & awning. Larger pitches available.
Noise from road not a problem for us.We have a fan in van to stay cool and this drowns out any noise.
Reasonably stocked supermarket (fresh bread daily, milk, beer and wine)
No hot water for washing up, so we boiled a kettle.
Cold water washing machine only but worked OK for us with fairy non bio.
El Saler beach less than 5 minute walk. Long clean soft sandy beach with dunes happens to be naturist as well.
Only downside for us was there are not any restaurants nearby.
Site easy to find and a friendly Spanish speaking man checked us in and gave us a good quality map of Valencia. Our pitch was a good size and although there is some noise from the nearby road it did not bother us. The shower and toilets look fairly old but it was clean and a nice hot shower. The swimming pool may have been open but there was no one in it, or any chairs or loungers around it. The children\'s pool was definitely not open as it had trees being stored in it - maybe to soak them before planting! Maybe that put people off the main pool. The whole place looks rather tired, but it was very convenient for visiting Valencia with bus stop opposite the site entrance. We enjoyed our stay of a couple of nights but we spent very little time on the site instead just using it as a Base. I see no reason to stay any longer. We read comments about lack of security and there are no barriers at the gate, but we saw nothing suspicious or worrying during our stay.
This site is very handy for visiting Valencia especially if you want to cycle, as there is a very pleasant cycle route right into the city. The facilities at the sight are clean but in desperate need of updating. The showers just about trickled out a spray of warm water but there was no hot water for washing -up and the washing machines only operated a cold wash. There was a charge for wifi or it was free if you didn’t mind sitting in the very dingy reception area where there were a few table and chairs. If I were to return to the area I would look at other campsites, some of which were just down the road.
Very disappointed. Motorhomes rammed into small area no better than a parking lot. Site had a very jaded and worn out feel.
No hot showers. Out of the six shower blocks (men) only 2 have hot water according to the sign - and those two were not connected to the hot water - so all showers cold!
There appear to be all kind of people wandering around the campsite - not camped here - and virtually no control at gate because campsite want outsiders to come into restaurant. Noisy at night from nearby main road. Not recommended for a long stay at all.
Convenient for Valencia. Security poor as barriers were not in use. Promised wi-fi was not in place but expected.
Two adjacent camper vans were broken into during the day as they were obviously left unattended whilst owners were in Valencia.
No hot water at washing up sinks or basins.
Toilet block cleaned thrice daily.
We left a radio going and a window slightly open as a deterrent to possible thieves.
POOR SECURITY. Three campers were broken into on the last day of our stay and various valuables stolen. Despite the fact that this is a city centre site and therefore most vehicles are left unattended during the day. The barriers were never lowered to our knowledge and there appeared to be no site patrols. Intruders can gain access via the adjacent road and are able to conceal themselves amongst the surrounding static cabins. Be aware!
