Camping Kiko Park Rural looks like a small village with a small church and is situated amidst a magnificent natural landscape with mountains and forests; an attractive walking area. It is lovely and peaceful. There is a reservoir nearby where a number of white-water sports can be practised.
The grounds are flat and well maintained. The spacious pitches, demarcated with hedges, are laid out in rows on terraces. From the site you have splendid view of the surrounding mountain landscape and the slightly lower reservoir. If you want to hire accommodation, you can choose between trekker huts, rooms and bungalows. The sanitary facilities on the camping site are fine and are kept neat and tidy.
Small swimming pool
There is a nice, small swimming pool where children can splash around and adults can cool off. It is surrounded by a large lawn with a few young trees.
There is an imaginative playground for the little ones with a slide, two see-saw chickens and a large boat-shaped jungle gym. The playground is adjacent to the swimming pool. There is a fence between the swimming pool and the playground to keep small children from accidentally falling into the water.
The camping site offers excursion programmes, guided walking tours and several cycling routes to the active holiday makers. On the reservoir and the fast flowing river, some 12 km away, there are opportunities for white-water boating, kayaking, rafting and fishing. Hiking, mountaineering and mountain biking are all popular activities here.
There is a restaurant with a wide choice of tasty dishes, a snack bar and a bar. There is a camping site shop for your daily shopping and fresh bread.

For peace and tranquility you couldn't ask for more. Great walks. Stock up as there is not much around.
Nice site, but in September the restaurant was closed and the pitches are good but very very hard, so virtually impossible to drive tent pegs in.
We have stayed at Kikopark Rural twice, in April 2016 and in the same period this year. The surroundings are overwhelming and very nice to walk in. The staff is friendly enough and we heard from our neighbors that the restaurant is excellent, we didn't eat there ourselves.
Don't think we can review fully without saying we will call back later in season. We got there and the place was empty, so I can only assume the place was just opening for the new season. The pitch was fabulous, internet fabulous, toilets and showers fabulous, restaurant and bar shut, pool, one was green the other looked empty, I could not see a shop so would make sure I was stocked up before going here. There was no sign of entertainment on site, but saying that there are plenty of walks and it is very picturesque.
We Will return and add another review after next visit.
Would recommend stocking up with food before you arrive on site as the village is a few kilometres away. We found the staff to be very polite and helpful. The pitches are large with high hedges between them, flat and easy to access. The area is good for walking with at least a couple of walks direct from the site.
As a couple looking for the more authentic Spain we were absolutely delighted to find this site. It's the best site we have found in 3 weeks of travelling! You get a lovely welcome from the family who run it. The pitches are spacious and separated by good hedging for privacy. There are only a few loos and showers but clean and warm. There's a lovely pool and bar/ restaurant and we had an amazing 3 course meal (cooked and served by the owners). You only get 2 choices of meal but it was beautiful and how could anyone complain when it is cheap! Hope to return some day.
We used this site as a one night stopover. The pitches are large, flat and private. A good place to stop for dog owners as it's in the middle of nowhere with plenty of walks! The toilets/showers were clean but are in desperate need of maintenance/refurbishment. No Wifi available on the night we were there, however a good house wine eased the pain!
this is a great campsite with some amazing surroundings but it is let down by terrible staff attitudes in reception and the bar and restaurant. they advertise to have wifi in the Casa (bar) but when we inquired about it we were told that they can switch it on but only for half an hour, and true enough after half enough she switched off the router and no wifi for the rest of the evening. the next morning was the same, why? the restaurant staff were just terrible , plain rude, food generally isn't available most of the time lunch only after 2pm, and dinner only after 9pm, limited options and difficult to order with the rude staff. i suggest only going to this site if you are fully equipped for meals (we couldn't find a supermarket open) and don't need the internet, we only chose the campsite because they had a restaurant but it was terrible
We have stayed at this site several times, mainly during February / March always found it worthwhile, the surrounding area an absolute delight for us and the dogs, We will be back there in February 2016
Neat and tidy site well laid out pitches. Easy access for any size vehicle No Wifi or internet. In the sites favor is the amazing lake and the scenery. Worth checking out the dam on the way to Minglanilla (not worth a visit, town not the Dam) If you want peace and quiet com here
