At a unique location amongst the highest peaks of the Swiss Alps, in the south-western part of the country, lies mountain campsite Des Glaciers. This is a fully-equipped campsite with a friendly atmosphere. The campsite is located at an elevation of 1600 metres. Here, you camp in the heart of the Val Ferret, a valley in the Mont Blanc massif. A true paradise for mountain climbers and hikers. There are also trails for less experienced mountaineering enthusiasts.

Camping in unspoilt nature

Camping in the middle of unspoilt nature and under the stars: At campsite Des Glaciers, you camp with the ultimate sense of freedom. Non-demarcated pitches of varying sizes lie scattered over the beautiful and vast campsite grounds. Choose for a spot in the shade of the pine forest or in the sunny meadow.

The view of the mountaintops and the glacier from your camping pitch is truly phenomenal, whether you're located at the edge of the forest or on an open field.

For campers looking to get even higher...

One of the two playgrounds on the campsite features a large climbing wall. A fun way to get some practice in before tackling the mountains. This climbing wall, which you climb with the necessary safety precautions, is also a favourite with children. You will also find a tree-top adventure course with a zip-line and a large inflatable air cushion.

Swiss cuisine

Bread and a small selection of groceries is available at the reception. You can do the rest of your grocery shopping in the small supermarket in the village, a ten-minute walk from the campsite. Here you will also find several restaurants where you can enjoy the Swiss cuisine.

Voldeed prima aan de verwachtingen.
Ging ook uitstekend om de Corona regels/omstandigheden.
Prima vakantie van 2 weken gehad.

Wat een heerlijke plek om te verblijven. 2 speeltuinen voor de kinderen, een klimmuur (wel eigen materiaal meenemen), een klimbos. Grenzend aan een rivier en ontelbaar veel mooie wandelingen te doen vanuit de camping. Schoon sanitair, ontbijtmogelijkheden. En waar je ook staat op de camping, je wordt altijd getrakteerd op een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen!

Schitterend gelegen grote camping in een heel mooi en natuurlijk dal. De plaatsen zijn groot en de sfeer is gemoedelijk.
Vanaf de camping kan je mooie wandelingen maken, eigenlijk heb je in het dal de auto nauwelijks nodig. Doordat de camping hoog ligt, wordt het wel snel fris 's avonds en 's nachts.
Sanitair wordt goed schoongehouden, maar als de camping vol zit, zijn er duidelijk te weinig toiletten en afwasbakken beschikbaar en ontstaan er vaak wachtrijen. Maar, dat is ook het enige minpuntje! Verder een topbestemming!

Je gaat naar deze camping voor de omgeving en het prachtige uitzicht.
Leuke plekken, zowel op een open veld, als onder de gletsjer.
Vriendelijk personeel, maar 1 persoon achter de receptie is echt te weinig: lange rijen.
Sanitair is schoon en voldoende aanwezig. Douche is slecht: veel te koud

Wij komen hier al ruim 20 jaar. Geweldig goede service, schoon sanitair en prachtige grote kampeerplekken.

Prima vakantie gehad. Mooi weer en prachtige wandelingen vanuit de camping en directe omgeving. Geen moment verveeld. Rustige, mooie en goed onderhouden camping midden in de natuur. Vriendelijke en behulpzame medewerkers. Klimbos, klimwanden in de nabijheid van de camping (geen gebruik van gemaakt, maar zag er goed uit!)

Grote camping met een mooi uitzicht. De weg er naar toe is al een belevenis. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam in diverse talen.
Uitleen van haspels en stekkers wanneer je ver verwijderd bent van het elektriciteitskastje. Broodjes bestellen voor de volgende dag.
Sanitair niet naar verhouding aantal kamperplaatsen, douche- en afwaswater lauw.
Na 19 uur koelt het behoorlijk af en s nachts kan het goed koud zijn ( deken en muts meenemen )
Bij helder weer is er een enorme sterrenhemel te zien. Dicht bij een stoeltjeslift en diverse wandelroutes. Jammer dat het zo een duur land is, niet alleen in het dorpswinkeltje maar ook in de supermarkt en terras.

Prachtige camping, ruime plaatsen, fantastische omgeving. Jammer dat campingregels niet gehandhaafd worden. Vaak staat het er blauw van de rook door de open vuurtjes met hout uit het bos. Wat eens een camping was, waar het gezond vertoeven was, is deze veranderd in een ongezonde en onaangename omgeving. Hou er rekening mee dat de ongewenste stank tot diep in de nacht in je caravan hangt.
