Henlow Bridge Lakes & Riverside campsite is a lovely family campsite with great walking and fishing opportunities. A visit to London, only a 30 minute drive away, is just one of the options. The campsite is nicely laid out with sufficient space for caravans and campers. Looking for special overnight accommodation? Bordering the fish pond are wooden chalets. How about waking up to a lovely view!
The central location of the campsite attracts a large number of English campers. As the campsite accepts dogs throughout the year, you will always find large numbers of camping guests with their faithful four-legged friends. In peak season, many families find their way to the campsite. The over-50s often visit the campsite in low season.
With such a plethora of fishing lakes in the vicinity, an afternoon spent fishing is a must at this campsite. As a result, regular fishing competitions are organised at this campsite. In addition, there is a large petting zoo with an aviary and there are several playgrounds. And naturally, the traditional petanque pitch is a must as well.
The real holiday feeling.
There is no restaurant at the campsite. However, as not having to cook only serves to strengthen the holiday spirit, you will often find a stall on the camping grounds during weekends, where you can take out fish, hamburgers or chips. And a restaurant is never far away. You can enjoy a nice meal in the village of Benlow, at the Five Bells for instance. There is a small shop for basic necessities on the campsite.

Henlow is undescribable!I wish I could live here but sadly I cannot. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they feel like my best friends. Me and my friends played hide and seek and we found so many incredible places as well as fantastic views! Henlow is amazing and I would recommend this to everyone I know, and there are no words to describe Henlow. Even though my visit will soon be over, the memories I made at Henlow will last forever .I hope to come again soon.
We visit this site when we are in the south east of England
The staff are very friendly and helpful
We use our ACSI card when possible but in the high session it is the average price of most campsites only this campsites is not your average campsite where you are put onto a grass field.
Henlow bridge riverside campsite has gravel hard standing pitches with fresh water and electricity supply.
It has fantastic carp fishing on site this is one of the reasons we visit this site..
The other reason we visit this site is it is only 5 minutes walk from the main railway station that takes you to the heart of London in about 50 minutes excellent.
There are many places to visit and shop around the area some small towns and villages plenty of places to go for something to eat or have a meal only a 5 or 10 minutes drive away
McDonald\'s 5 minutes drive and Tesco / Chinese restaurant/ chip shop / cafes etc 10 minutes drive.
The site has a shop on site and well stocked but as all campsites a bit pricey.
The toilet blocks are average and the showers are in need of upgrading, the showers, all the old press button type ok for saving water but no good for having a nice hot shower by the time you press the button and the water starts to flow and the water getting hot the shower stops ( start again ) apart from that they are spotlessly clean.
Washing up and washing machine are very good you can watch tv will doing your washing or ironing very nicely keep again spotlessly clean as is the campsite,
The staff work very hard to after your every needs and are excellent at their jobs.
There is a lovely area where there is birds/ rabbits/ chickens etc like a small zoo and the kids and adults enjoy this very much really well looked after area again spotlessly clean
There is also lots of things for the kids and the staff work hard to keep them entertained.
You will have a very pleasant time a henlow bridge riverside lakes as it is our number 1 campsite if only we were closer as we travel for Glasgow to henlow bridge riverside lakes and also when we are returning from Spain we always drop in for a few days fishing and site seeing in London
