"Beautiful terraced campsite with marked-out and paved pitches surrounded by trees and beautiful views of Lake Derwent. 30 minutes walk to the centre of Keswick and close to Castlerigg circle, a 4000-year-old monument. Beautiful surroundings. Many walking and swimming opportunities. There are boats for rent at Derwent lake."

Excellent site if you have the right pitch with a view of the mountains and lake. Otherwise pitch are standard view of fellow motorhomers, caravans and pitches.

Showerblocks are clean and work well but you need to pay for hairdryer as an extra.

Restaurant is independantly run and half decent allowing dogs. chef wasn\'t well so restaurant was closed whilst we were there.

Walk into excellent town is 30mins downhill. Hill very steep coming back so if there are two of you tjen take a taxi which is cheaper than the bus.
