I am writing with regards to my recent disaster holiday I have booked with new beach PARK.
We had numerous problems from the day we arrived till the last day. We have written to the company General Manager, who acknowledge the problems but did not do anything about it and refuses to give us anything back claiming there was no record of any problems during our stay, despite we mentioned about it and also with regards to other customers, and he is not taking ownership for their faults.
The holiday was a loss of value as we have spent money on transport, accommodation, food and we did not get anything of value in return.
The loss of enjoyment was felt both by our kids as well, as we have scrupled to find a programme to keep them happy and we took them to another city to keep them entertained.
They hope to be on the beach which was advertised on the website they are next to the beach but in fact, it was 40mins away, they hoped to be in the pool but it was closed the 2nd day we arrived and were not offered any alternative only it is closed for health and safety. The kids club was singing adult club and colouring with kids sharing the colours. The children park was very poor in facilities and dirty and small, our park in my town is public is much better equipped and clean.
Please find list below:
Kids club for 5-14 years old (it is actually sinning adult club)
Adventure playground (small dirt playground)
Family sky TV (normal digital TV channels)
Award winning beach (the beach is actually 40mins walks and driving by car is 15mins away, they don't have beach)
The pool is very dirty and it collapsed the following day and is in very bad shape
This had huge impact on the enjoyment of our holidays, and it seems for the beach park management This normal business and mild inconvenience to us it was bitter taste of having to go for these 4days and also now with correspondence back and forward the management are not raising their hand and admitting they have got it wrong.
We believe the advertisement of Beach and kids club and the site is misleading and over rated on the website. We have checked the reviews of the park after we come back and is so bad if we have read it we would not have booked our holidays.
We are writing complaining about this company to various agencies and bodies
Stayed on the touring site & hated it. The touring site office was closed & a notice asked us to phone a mobile number, An irate man answered & rudely told us to go to the main reception as it was his day off. When we finally settled down we had a walkabout only to find absolutely filthy toilets & shower block. So much so that we declined to use them. The laundry was no better. There were soiled nappies & other rubbish littering the grass round the bin area & the grass looked like a Glastonbury aftermath. We stayed for one night which also happened to be our last. Vast investment is required here as it appears none has been made since Hi De Hi was first screened.Dreadful experience!
This is possibly the worst campsite I have ever stayed on, what used to be the lovely touring field has been ripped up to put in permanent static homes, what is now the touring field turns into a mud bath with the slightest rain, at the start of the season there was a nice picnic area just next to the children's play area but we came back at half term to find they had dumped a load of soil, Rubble and metal on top of it, that they had dug up to put in more homes. The toilets are never cleaned properly, there are broken toilets that no matter how many times we have asked have still not been fixed, half the doors don't lock and there are toilet seats missing, the drains smell terrible, there are always bits of wood with nails hanging out of them in the children's play area because the fences are never fixed properly. I cut my head on some broken electrical trunking hanging from the low ceiling in the amusements, they fixed these by covering them in brown parcel tape, health and safety!!!
After the 5-star sites of Belgium this site was very poor. It was obvious that we were pitched right next to an area used on a permanent basis by gypsies. The result was blocked waste disposal facilities and grubby toilets. The welcome was friendly enough and the pitch pleasant but otherwise, we were very glad it was only for 1 night.
One of the worst sites I have ever stayed on. Grubby, dirty, disorganised, noisy. Grim. The only redeeming thing about this place is that it has an exit gate.
Dirty, overcrowded and poorly maintained. Dogs were loose, pitches chaotic. Children's play area had broken equipment lying around. No one seemed to know or care who was on the site. Would not recommend this site to anyone.
Chose as close to Dover. Toilets awful, no toilet paper, no locks on some of the doors. Shower head aimed at the door so got all clothing soaking wet, no hooks.
Due to lots of rain, grass very wet, muddy. No boarding to walk on.
Would we go back again? NO.
