What can I say but FANTASTIC. We stayed here in August 2011. I looked at all the other sites close-by while we where there and this is the best. This is the nearest camp site to the beach. It has a great swimming pool with bar area and shop, also takeaway. A short walk of a few miles takes you in to valras plage or you can get on the little train that runs past all the camps in the area and main shops for a few euros each return all day and in to the night. You can get a time table from the driver. The camp is just outside Valras plage and is in Vendres plage so head for this when arriving or you will go via Valras plage town which is tight for caravans. Toilets are spotless and seam to be cleaned by a lady everytime I went there, showers are warm but that's all you need as it is very hot there. Toilets are a hole in the gound type or normal but, have no seat or toilet roll but this is normal in France. Would we go back, YES, we didnt want to leave. 9/10

The site was infested with mosquitoes from the stagnent pools between the site and the beach. The beach was a mess with loads of piles of driftwood and worst of all there was no hot water for the showers, after complaining about the cold showers I was told to run the water for 10 to 15 minutes for it to get through or even go along all the water points and press them all to get the hot water to come through, but after more than 15 minutes holding the water valve in I just gave up any hope of having a shower so we only stopped the 1 night instead of the full week. Very dissapointed with the campsite overall and certainly will never return a total waste of time and money travelling almost 1000 miles to visit this site.

We chanced on this in the low season and we could choose our own pitch. Reasonable size pitches for so close to the beach. Not all toilet facilities were open. Showers were often lukewarm and being September they could have been a little warmer. Excellent pools for both adults and children. Site could have had better lighting at night. The site has direct access to a great beach. Nearby Beziers and Narbonne well worth visiting. Local town of Valras Plage had a nice promenade and a relaxed ambiance. The local Hypermarket was excellent. We would definitely go there again but would reach it by the much less busy road to Vendres Plage and not through the narrow streets of the Valras Plage as given in the ACSI book.
