On the banks of the Dordogne river, near the village of Meyronne, is camping La Plage. You'll camp here on the grass, on a spacious pitch under the walnut trees. The most beautiful pitches are right on the water's edge. The campsite has its own pebble beach along the river, where you can make beautiful trips by canoe or kayak.

Under the walnut trees
The campsite is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Because of the many walnut trees the campsite is wonderfully shady. The pitches are on the grass, under the trees. They are marked, but not delimited by vegetation. La Plage is a relatively small campsite, with sixty touring pitches, twelve bungalow and lodge tents and four caravans.
Swimming pool in the sun
There is a simple, heated outdoor swimming pool on the campsite. It is situated in full sun and has a beautiful sun deck with sun loungers and parasols around it. The pool has a separate, shallow area for the little ones. The pebble beach, with its fast-flowing water and the departing and arriving canoes and kayaks, is perhaps a little too exciting for young children.
Boating
At campsite La Plage you can rent canoes and kayaks. They are waiting for you at the pebble beach; you can take them straight up the river. From the campsite you can make beautiful trips and discover the Dordogne river. There are beautiful castles on the banks. Because the river has several gullies, you can opt for a quiet or a more wild ride. In addition to canoeing and kayaking, you can also go rafting and paddle surfing.
