Travelling party: Seniors

Wij zij in augustus 2019 toevallig op deze camping terecht gekomen op onze terugreis uit het zuiden. Daarna zijn we er nog drie maal geweest en hier zal het niet bij blijven.
De camping bestaat pas 6 à 7 jaar en ligt op ongeveer 300 meter van de boulevard en het grote zandstrand. Naar het centrum van Calais is het krap 10 minuten fietsen. Tijdens onze verblijven werd het moderne sanitair (2 gebouwen) 3 maal per dag schoon gemaakt. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk. Er is een bescheiden winkeltje met vers brood en een beperkt assortiment aan overige artikelen. Ook is er een mooie recreatie ruimte waar je o.a. TV kunt kijken. Alle staanplaatsen zijn exact even groot en volkomen waterpas, gegroepeerd in clusters van vier. Calais is een, ten onrechte, ondergewaardeerde badplaats, op slechts 260 km van Breda. Het openbaar vervoer is er gratis en de stad heeft mooie parken, gebouwen en gezellige terrassen. Het Office de Tourisme heeft diverse folders in de Nederlandse taal. Niet onvermeld mag blijven \"De Draak van Calais\", maar hiervoor moet u zelf gaan kijken.
