Camping du Lac de Saint-Cyr is rustig en schilderachtig gelegen in het departement Vienne (Poitou-Charentes). De camping ligt tussen de belangrijkste plaatsen Poitiers (twintig kilometer) en Châtellerault (vijftien kilometer) in. Zoals de naam al prijsgeeft, ligt de camping aan het meer van Saint-Cyr en in het recreatiepark van Saint-Cyr. Dit is een ideaal uitgangspunt voor een onvergetelijke vakantie vol water en plezier.

Bijzondere kampeerervaring

Breng je vakantie door op een van de ruime kampeerplaatsen, die gescheiden zijn door heggen. Daarnaast kun je op camping du Lac de Saint-Cyr ook kiezen voor een stacaravan, een ingerichte tent of een lodge. Wil je een bijzondere kampeerervaring? Kies dan voor de nieuwe ecolodge (2020) of voor de yurt, die omgeven is door bloemperken.

Zwembad

Het zwembad op de camping is uitgerust met watervallen, massagestralen, een peuterbadje en een bubbelbank. Dankzij deze voorzieningen biedt het verwarmde zwembad plezier voor de hele familie.

Naar het meer!

Daarnaast heeft de camping een eigen toegang (met een speciale pas) tot het meer van Saint-Cyr en een eigen zandstrand. Het 85 hectare grote meer leent zich uitstekend voor activiteiten en ook voor veilig (onder toezicht) zwemplezier. Ga lekker vissen, windsurfen, kanoën, waterfietsen, peddelsurfen of spelen op het opblaasbare aquapark. Ook een potje golf, tennis of beachvolleybal behoort tot de opties. En wat te denken van mooie wandel- en fietstochten rond het meer? Tussen 10:00 en 12:00 kun je gratis kano’s en waterfietsen lenen.

De camping organiseert wandelingen, fietstochten en culinaire activiteiten. En dan zorgen ze in het hoogseizoen ook nog eens voor een Kids Club (6-12 jaar).

Liked - Veel te doen aan watersportactiviteiten en een strandje aan het meer.
Disliked - Wij hadden pech. Door blauwalg in het water konden we niet zwemmen of het water op.

Liked - Animatie overdag was leuk en gevarieerd, ruime staanplaatsen, veel groen, ligging aan een mooi meer (waar wel vaak blauwalg zit). Leuk restaurant bij het meer/ camping met prima eten.
Disliked - Slechte communicatie: men spreekt matig Engels bij de receptie en communiceert pas een dag voor aankomst dat het meer dicht is wegens blauwalg.
Er werd geen rekening houden met wensen van gasten qua plaats op de camping, regelmatig is er tot ‘s avonds laat harde muziek, schoonmaak toiletgebouw zou in het hoogseizoen vaker mogen.

Prima camping! Prachtig meer waar helaas blauwalg aanwezig was waardoor zwemmen niet mocht. Mooie grote plekken, kindvriendelijk, lekker brood ‘s morgens en aardig restaurantje. Geen haute cuisine maar prima eten voor schappelijke prijs. Sanitair beetje gedateerd maar prima schoongehouden.

Fitnessruimte aanwezig en Poitiers is half uurtje rijden. Erg leuke stad met een gave sfeer, leuke binnenstad en mooie restaurantjes. O, en leuk zwembadje erbij voor de afkoeling. Hadden wij niks aan want het regende… Maar gaan hier zeker nog een keer in voorjaar naar toe.

Liked - We hadden een fantastisch grote plek. Ik denk één van de grootste van de camping. Er is bijna elke avond wat te doen, alleen jammer dat ze het alleen in het Frans omroepen op de camping terwijl er toch ook erg veel Nederlanders en Engelsen staan. Zwembad is klein maar ze moeten het ook van het meer hebben. Helaas was deze in de 2,5 week dat we er waren gesloten ivm blauwalg. Welke blauwalg? Er was echt niets van te zien. Daarbij was de aquazone wel geopend. Heel vreemd als je eigenlijk niet t water in mag….
Disliked - Op de dag van aankomst was onze plek nog bezet. Uiteindelijk na 1,5 -2 uur, een hoop gepraat en gewacht alsnog op de plek terecht gekund. Het sanitair wordt 2 x per dag middelmatig schoongemaakt. Even de hogedrukspuit er doorheen en klaar lijkt t wel… Helaas ligt de hygiëne natuurlijk ook aan de campinggasten zelf, zoals bijvoorbeeld even een trekker door de douche halen als je klaar bent. Zodat de volgende geen spekgladde vloer heeft en de vloer niet meteen smerig is. Het brood wat je bij de winkel/restaurant kunt halen is duur helaas.

Disliked - Spijtig genoeg mochten we niet zwemmen in het meer omdat er blauwalg in het water zat. Kon de camping niets aan doen.
