The well maintained terrain of terraced campsite Domaine La Garenne lies against a pine tree-covered hill. As a result you have a lovely view from many pitches. You camp here in Saint-Avit, a village in the heart of the Rhône-Alpes. Especially families with children of primary school age enjoy themselves thoroughly on this campsite.

Very spacious pitches

In front of you lies a sizeable and well maintained terrain. In the lower located section the pitches are partly demarcated. There are a total of fifty very spacious touring pitches (150-300 m2). The sizes vary more or less depending on the season. The spaciousness is great for privacy, but also for larger families that like to stand close to each other.

A round over the campsite and take your pick!

Upon arrival you can do a tour of the camping grounds with a map. The map shows the vacant pitches with a cross, so you can take a closer look. Don't have camping equipment? You can book one of the forty accommodation units (mobile homes and cottages). These are all on an elevated section of the campsite.

Great swimming

The swimming pool complex is adjacent to the cafe terrace. It has three heated pools. Dive in on of the two larger pools or splash around in the toddler pool. The pools are surrounded by a wide, tiled terrace. Ideal for sunbathing (bring your own sun umbrella). The campsite offers an entertainment programme, which is predominantly in French.

Local bites to eat

Great feature on this campsite: local shop owners come and offer their produce here, such as bread, pizzas, grilled chicken, goat's cheese, mustard, jam and olives. Enjoy!

Liked - Les emplacements ombragés, nouveauté et propreté du Mobil home, accueil à la réception. Jeux enfants (trampoline) et présence de producteurs locaux le soir.
Disliked - Au niveau du Mobil home, le confort des couchages (Matelas et oreillers). Couverture insuffisante si nuit fraîche. L'équipe d'animation : toute jeune, à mon sens elle privilégie les enfants vers 7/8 ans et non les plus jeunes. Nous avons été isolés lors de la chasse au canard, et aucun contact sympa entre les animateurs et mes jeunes enfants même lorsqu'on les croisait. Animation pool party Très peu animée (les animateurs s'éclatent seuls ds la piscine). Très déçue de l'animation...

Disliked - le manque d'une vrais épicerie ou magasin de nourriture et le fait que les piscine on pas de rambarde pour descendre pour les personne qui on du mal (handicape ou personne âgé)

Disliked - Manque de marché et pour avoir du pain de 8h30 à 9h30 c’est trop juste c’est les vacances.Pour les douches aucune pression en eau chaude sinon il faut prendre une douche froide

Liked - J’ai beaucoup aimé le cadre du camping situé en pleine nature. L’ambiance est familiale et calme. La piscine a 3 bassins dont un chauffé, ce qui est très agréable. Les animations sont sympas et non commerciales. Le club enfant a été très apprécié par mon fils. J’ai trouvé les animatrices très sympas et qui s’adaptent bien aux envies et besoins des enfants. Le bivouac est très sympa et a vraiment donné un caractère insolite à nos vacances. Le frigo est appréciable et le couchage très confort. Il est nécessaire cependant de prendre draps et couettes. Camping très propre.
Disliked - Le plus à améliorer serait dès ouvertures supplémentaires dans le bivouac pour aérer et ventiler. L’ajout de plaques de cuisson serait vraiment un plus.
Il serait également super d’ajouter le prêt de raquettes de Ping pong.

Liked - Qualité des emplacements et des sanitaires. Les arbres (pins, chênes, oliviers). Les installations (tables repas, piscines, transats, ping pong, terrasse bar). Le personnel très attentif et à l'écoute. Petit supermarché de qualité à 5 min à Chateauneuf de Galaure (pas la peine de chercher plus loin). Très bonnes frites le week end (merci le food truck). Belle balade à faire à pied au dessus du camping par le chemin de la garenne et pensez aussi à vous ballader à Saint Avit (joli point de vue).
Disliked - Le food truck devrait proposer des steaks hachés et pourquoi pas aussi des salades pour ceux qui n'aiment pas la viande...
