Camping am Berg is a rural campground in a hilly region. Near the Dutch border, to the west of the state of Lower Saxony, the campground is located just outside of idyllic Bad Bentheim. You can take a little walk to the historic town on a forest path from the campground. There are many cycling routes in the immediate vicinity. There are also lovely paths to walk your dog, including one through the marsh landscape at the Glidehauser Venn nature reserve.

Upon arrival, the Dutch owners will welcome you to Camping am Berg, where they have created an atmospheric oasis of peace and quiet. There is no play equipment for the children, for example.
Royal campsites
Your caravan or camper will have plenty of space in one of the fields or on one of the narrow streets. If you want shade, its best to be on the flat part of the campground, where there are a number of trees. There is little shade on the terraced section. There are great sites set up especially for tent campers. There is grass everywhere, which is well cared for by the owner. The paths and roads are all well lit.
Enjoying a weekend
In the weekend, the campground restaurant is a lovely place for a snack and a drink. With fresh rolls available daily, your camping holiday in Germany is truely complete.
Take the bike-bus
There is a special bike-bus between Bad Bentheim and Emlichheim. A fun option is you want to leave from another starting point. This service has a trailer to transport your bike.
