Camping Prahljust is situated near the town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld (Upper Harz) in the German federal state of Lower Saxony. As the name Oberharz suggests, you are here in the higher part of the Harz. It is traditionally a mining area which has resulted in the creation of a large number of lakes. The Oberharz is a nature and walkers' paradise which can be explored on foot or by bicycle from the campsite.

For seekers of tranquillity and nature

Prahljust is a well maintained, quietly located campsite. The pitches are not demarcated. When it is not busy, you can choose your own spacious pitch (100 m2). When it gets busy, you will be allocated a slightly more compact pitch (80 m2). You will find a mixed public on the campsite; in peak season mostly families, and more seniors out of season. Whether young or old, your neighbours are most likely walking enthusiasts or nature lovers.

Own Gasthof and lake

Prahljust has a private lake, surrounded by woodlands. This is eminently suitable for a wide range of water sports (swimming, sailing, canoeing and fishing). You can enjoy a meal on the campsite in the Greek restaurant, which has a full menu. There is also a playground for the little ones on the grounds.

Clean sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities are not the latest in design, but they are kept spotless. There is also more than enough hot water to shower and wash the dishes. There is a separate dog shower, so your four-legged friend is always sufficiently clean to enter the caravan.

Travelling party: Seniors

De camping biedt een vrije plaats keuze. Ga maar ergens staan wat je leuk vind kregen we te horen bij aankomst. Uiteindelijk bleek onze grote plek die we hadden gekozen 2 plaatsen te zijn. Gelukkig was het niet zo druk dus was dit geen probleem. Het deel waar wij stonden liep sterk af naar het meer. Bij een flinke bui veranderde het pad dan ook in een snel stromende rivier. Het sanitair is erg verouderd, maar wel schoon. Het restaurant biedt goede Grieks/Duitse maaltijden.

Travelling party: Seniors

Wij kozen een plekje aan de rechter kant van de camping omdat daar weinig vaste verblijvers waren en we een mooi zicht hadden op een meertje. In het verlengd weekend liep de camping vol en werden er activiteiten georganiseerd waaronder een optreden van heksen en een grote brandstapel. Het sanitair is prima met lekker heet water en zonder muntjes. Elke morgen kan je de bestelde broodjes afhalen in het restaurant dat ook lekkere maaltijden aanbiedt. We hebben mooie wandelingen gemaakt in de buurt. Prijs/kwaliteit is ok alleen de verblijfstax swingt een beetje de pan uit. Prima camping.

Travelling party: Couple

Onze reservering van een verblijf op deze camping wordt geweigerd omdat we uit een hoog risicogebied (Nederland) afkomstig zijn. Wij zijn beiden aantoonbaar volledig gevaccineerd tegen covid. Volgens de regels van zowel de Nederlandse als de duitse regering is dit voldoende om toegelaten te mogen worden. De camping heeft echter zelf de regel bedacht dat een quarantaine van 5 dagen verplicht is, deze quarantaine mag niet in je eigen camper.

Travelling party: Seniors

Grote camping aan meertje met ruime plaatsen (in de herfst in elk geval). Sanitair is verouderd en dus zit prettig douchen of scheren er niet in. Maar het was zeker niet vervuild of vies. Het leuke is dat je \'s avonds een vuurtje mag stoken bij je tent of aan het water. Er wordt in de weekends flink gefeest door Duitse kampeerders uit de omgeving, maar het liep nooit uit de hand. Tot 23 uur is het rumoerig, maar dan is het stil. Best wel prijzig voor wat je krijgt.
