Wij kwamen aan op camping Bel Ombrage en het was heerlijk weer, dus dat begon al goed. Van te voren wisten we dat er geen animatie was, en dat hebben we ook helemaal niet gemist. De 3 zwembaden waren heerlijk en groot genoeg voor alle gasten op de camping, de beheerder nam meerdere malen (tijdens ons verblijf van 3 weken) een monster van het zwembadwater om te controleren of alles nog schoon genoeg was. Het sanitair zag er wat verouderd uit maar werd elke dag keurig schoongemaakt, prima in orde. Bij de receptie kan je alleen ijsjes kopen dus voor de boodschappen naar een dorp (Cénac-et-saint-julien) op 5 km vanaf de camping. De omgeving is schitterend mooi met op elke berg wel een kasteel, ook de rivier de Céou waar de camping aan ligt is geweldig voor de kinderen om visjes te vangen of met een luchtbed of rubberbootje lekker op te drijven. Op de camping wordt ook elke dag 2x het vuilnis opgehaald, het blijft netjes. Veel Nederlandse mensen op de camping, vonden wij jammer.

Wij (gezin met 2 kinderen, 13 en 17) zijn hier in de 2e week van juli 2011 geweest (helaas niet zo best weer). Zeer ruime kampeerplek, aan het riviertje waar onze hond heerlijk heeft kunnen zwemmen. Mooie omgeving om te wandelen en fietsen. Leuke middeleeuwse dorpen/ steden binnen handbereik. Veel Nederlanders aanwezig wat voor de kinderen wel leuk was. De bakker komt 's morgens op de camping met diverse brood. Een camping voor de rust, geen disco of live muziek. Boodschappen hebben wij met name gedaan in Sarlat op 10 km van de camping (o.a. Lidl en Casino). De rivier de Dordogne ligt in de directe omgeving waar je met de kano/ kajak kunt peddelen. Voor de mountenbikers/ wielrenners onder ons zijn er ook mooie mogelijkheden. Kortom een leuke camping waar vele mogelijheden qua sport te beleven is in de directe of op korte afstand van de camping.

Wij zijn net terug van een heerlijke vakantie op deze rustige familiecamping. We hadden een zeer ruime plek. Aan het water zijn hele grote plekken!! De camping ligt aan het riviertje de Ceou. Daar kunnen de kinderen heerlijk in spelen. Ook is er een mooi zwembad bij. (3 baden met verschillende dieptes) Het sanitair is erg schoon! Waterdruk is wisselend. Wij stonden erg ver van het toiletgebouw (ruim 200m.) Een fiets is dan handig! Er is geen kampwinkeltje, maar de bakker komt iedere morgen. Boodschappen deden we in Sarlat. Meerdere grote supermarchés! Het is een fantastisch gebied! Veel kastelen, bastides en mooie middeleeuwse stadjes! Veel te zien en te doen! Op de camping is geen animatie, maar de kinderen vermaken zich prima! 's Avonds voetballen op het grote veld en daarna een kampvuurtje. Eerst voor de jonge jeugd en daarna voor de oudere... Verder is het er erg rustig. Er stonden vooral veel Nederlanders en Engelsen toen wij er waren. Deze camping is een aanrader!!

Camping met zeer mooie en over het algemeen zeer grote plaatsen aan de Ceou. Reserveren daarvoor is wel gewenst. Verhaal ging rond dat ziekte van Weil zou geconstateerd zijn. Geen bevestiging van kunnen krijgen en heerlijk afgekoeld in de Ceou. Geen winkel aanwezig. Dichtstbijzijnde grote supermarkt (Casino) ligt in Sarlat op 12 kilometer. Dichterbij wel een bakker en klein supermarktje (2 kilometer). Nog dichterbij ligt een supermatkt die gericht is op Biologisch en Streek geteelde producten. In de avond (na 22.30) vaak al erg stil op de camping. Buiten de camping is verder niets te doen op een klein cafe na. Onze meiden hebben zich prima kunnen vermaken, ook al waren ze wat aan de "bovenkant" in leeftijd van de meeste kinderen. Omgeving biedt voldoende mogelijkheid tot mooie uitstapjes. Wel overal erg veel Nederlanders. Maar dat is bekend van de Dordogne.

Goede, lieflijke familiecamping. Goede kampeerplekken met schaduw. Mooi zwemriviertje naast camping. Goed/net zwembad. Veel bezienswaardigheden (kastelen, tuinen, grotten, plaatsjes) in nabije omgeving. 50-50 nederlanders/fransen. Kampeerwinkel aanwezig. Vers brood iedere ochtend.
1 x per week kinderdisco, verder geen animatie.
