Le camping est bien soigné, au niveau des equipement tout est parfait, l’espace vert et le parc aquatique sont très bien entretenus. Nous avons bien profité de nos vacances.

Wij zijn de hele maand juni op camping Aurilandes geweest. De gehele maand juni was de (grote) camping erg leeg. Pas eind juni kwamen er wat meer kampeerders bij. Ten opzichte van vorig jaar is er een hoop verbeterd op de camping. De camping wordt goed bijgehouden, en het vriendelijke personeel is snel ter plaatst om problemen op te lossen. Grote plaatsen met of zonder schaduw. Sanitair is redelijk tot goed; wordt schoon gehouden. Het zwembad is erg mooi met begin juni nogal koud water, maar zoals dit jaar (2009) met mooi en warm weer is het erg aantrekkelijk. De camping ligt direct aan het Lac met goede zwem en windsurfmogelijkheden. De temperatuur van het water is goed, zelfs begin juni. Vlak voor de camping is het meer ondiep, je loopt zo een stuk het water in zonder kopje onder te gaan. Dus voor de windsurfers niet al te lange vinnen. Het dorp Aureilhan heeft geen winkels en de winkeltjes op de camping gaan pas later in seizoen open. Vlak bij (ca. 800 meter) ligt het bungalowpark Eurolac van dezelfde organisatie als Aurilandes met een winkeltje dat de meest noodzakelijke spullen verkoopt en ook stokbrood e.d.
Voor de wekelijkse boodschappen moet je naar Mimizan (ca. 4 km) waar een supermarkt is en uiteraard nog meer winkels. Mimizan is goed per fiets te bereiken. Een voormalige spoorlijn is omgezet in een prima fietspad dat via Mimizan Bourg doorloopt naar Mimizan Plage om eventueel naar het mooie brede stand te gaan. In de vlakke omgeving is uitstekend te fietsen en wat verder uit de buurt van Aureilhan ook.
Met de camping in het hoogseizoen hebben wij niet zo veel ervaring, maar gezien het aantal plaatsen zal het er een stuk drukker zijn.
