Was very unimpressed with this site - no staff were in evidence when we arrived, site was large and pleasant but toilet/wash facilities meagre for the size of the site. Even less useful was closing all blocks for cleaning at 8am... The site itself is pleasant enough, with a lovely view of Chinon across the river. In the morning, the reception was open but not friendly.

Wij hebben deze camping voor 1 nacht bezocht. De eerste avond werden wij belaagd door zigeuners. 's-Nachts zijn we beroofd van 700,- euro, onze mobiele telefoons, camera, en autosleutel. Nog 3 andere stellen waren ook deze nacht van 2 op 3 juni 2011 beroofd. Opvang op de camping waardeloos, kregen alleen axcuses aangeboden, en dat was het.
Absoluut geen aanrader; deze camping niet bezoeken, het gaashek is 1,5 meter hoog aan de kant van de rivier de Vienne, een uitgelezen plaats voor dieven om binnen te komen en weer te verdwijnen.
In zijn algemeenheid zou het goed zijn ook het veiligheidsniveau in een waarderingscijfer uit te drukken.

Mooie camping vlak bij het centrum van Chinon. Ruime plaatsen in deze tijd van het jaar. Aantrekkelijke plaats om enige dagen te vertoeven.

Ein großer, wunderbar gelegener Camping direkt am Fluss und äußerst günstig. Reizendes Städtchen nur über die Brücke. Hauptsanitärgebäude gepflegt und 2x täglich gereinigt, die kleinen Sanitärhäuschen auf dem Platz (die Toiletten) ungepflegt.

Een mooie, rustige camping aan de oever van de Vienne. Chinon ligt op wandelafstand (5 minuten) en in een straal van 10 kilometer zijn er supermarkten. Er zijn diverse sportactiviteiten: stadszwembad aan de overzijde van de straat, fietsen en kano's zijn naast de camping aan het zandstrand.
