Wij hebben een reservatie gemaakt tent met elektriciteit, bij onze aankomst was het maar alleen de tent. Het sanitair was heel vuil en verstopt, je stond met je voeten in vuil water. De plaats van onze tent was hellend en een verharde weg; als het regende was het een modderveld, heel erg vuil.
Camping is maar één ster waard.

Prima camping voor bezoek aan Edingburgh en omgeving. Er is een goede busverbinding met het centrum, die zich net buiten de camping bevindt. In hoogseizoen is de plek echter te klein. De caravan wordt op een verhard stuk geplaatst, maar het opzetten van een voortent/ luifel is niet mogelijk. Wij hebben zelfs onze stoelen opgeruimd omdat echt buiten zitten op een gegeven moment niet echt meer mogelijk was zonder bij de buren op schoot te zitten. We waren compleet ingebouwd. Het deed mij denken aan de campings van vroeger in Spanje in Italië vóór de tijd van genummerde plekken.
Sanitair is goed. Toen wij er waren was er een snackvan op de camping waar je een echt Engels ontbijt kon kopen. Voor de liefhebbers! Worstjes, spek, black pudding gebakken eieren etcetera.
We hebben 1 keer gegeten in het restaurant. Er was een goede sfeer en het eten was redelijk. Vanuit de camping kan er een wandelingetje worden gemaakt. Toch een aanrader als je de stad Edingburgh wil bezoeken.

Leider war ab dem 10.09. nur eine Sanitäreinrichtung geöffnet, ohne dass am Tag vorher eine Information erfolgte. Die Infromation zu den Verkehrsverbindungen in die Stadt waren sehr detailiert und hilfreich. Die Ruhe auf dem Platz wurde eingehalten.

Perfectly nice little campsite not far from the centre of Edinburgh. Has all thats needed of a campsite - good clean toilet shower blocks and The Stable bar right next door offer lovely food and great little pub with big roaring fire - toasty!! Very picturesque and functional - But pricey.
