Nabite camping ligt in een heerlijk stiltegebied aan een meer, waarin heerlijk te zwemmen valt. De eigenaars - er zijn vier generaties aanwezig! - zijn behulpzaam en uiterst vriendelijk, alhoewel ze zeer matig Engels verstaan en spreken. Op het terrein zijn vele ijzeren potten aanwezig om een barbecue of bonfire te maken. De omgeving en de natuur zijn een lust voor het oog en het stadje Kuldiga lijkt de laatste 50 jaar onaangetast. Hoewel er aan de rand van de stad een modern winkelcentrum is gebouwd met enkele goed gesorteerde supermarkten.

Door de stad loopt de rivier de Venta, waarin 's zomers volop gebaad wordt . De straten in de binnenstad zijn van kinderkopjes of natuursteen zoals ze er al jaren liggen en de huizen meestal van hout maar ook mooie stenen huizen en gebouwen van weleer. Kortom een plek om te bezoeken. Als je niet aan een electrische paal gebonden bent op de camping zijn er zeer vele plekken om te gaan staan. Vrijheid, blijheid en volop de ruimte. Voor mij nummer 1 in Letland.
