This is a nice camping, a bit crowded in high season, though. Surroundings are great with sandy beach in west and cosy Nida town in east, all in 10 minutes by bike distance. Facilities are good, but stay here is a bit pricey, compare other Baltic campings.

Clean, and well-sized rooms, very friendly staff and delicious food at the restaurant. Easy walk to both the beach and the village of Nida and right next to one of the biggest dunes around, allowing for long views across the lagoon. Very good value for money and a great place to visit. Bring mosquito repelant though.

Je moet er even wat voor over hebben: eerst bij Klaipeda (de aankomsthaven van de veerboot uit Kiel) de veerpont nemen naar de Koerse schoorwal en dan 50 kilometerdoorrijden over de langgerekte landtong Nerida tot bijna de grens van de Russische enclave Kaliningrad. Maar dan ben je ook aangeland in het paradijs. Een duinlandschap dat zijn weerga niet kent - het is dan ook Werelderfgoed van de Unesco. Stranden die een vergelijking met onze waddeneilanden kunnen doorstaan, veel bos en leuke kleine vissersplaatsjes waar Nida er een van is. De camping ligt hier vlakbij met goede (wat kleine) afgebakende plaatsen waartussen houten tafels en banken staan voor wie geen kampeermeubilair bij zich heeft. Voor campers is er een apart verhard terrein. Wij waren er in juni en toen was het rustig, hoogzomer zal dat zeker anders zijn. Nerida is typisch een plek voor natuurliefhebbers die willen wandelen, fietsen, varen of lekker eten in een van de vele restaurantjes. Avondvertier is er nauwelijks maar de zonsondergangen zijn dan ook veel aantrekkelijker!

Gelegen in een fantastische omgeving biedt de camping genoeg verstrooiing voor eenieder. Groot en klein. Kleine ongemakken vragen een klein beetje flexibiliteit van de kampeerder (bescheiden gordijntjes als afscheiding voor een beetje privacy in de douchegelegenheid) en de acceptatie van een ongenood bezoek van de lokale muggenpopulatie die het kennelijk alleen heeft voorzien op de argeloze toerist. Een hapje in het restaurant is evenzo aan te bevelen. Het is jammer dat de met boomstammetjes afgezette camper of caravan plaatsen aan de krappe kant zijn. Zij vragen of goede chauffeurscapaciteiten van de (camper)bestuurder of de hulp van een mover indien het een caravan betreft.

Nice site on edge of Paradis dune with access by car or an easy walk up to dunes, town and beach. Tent area was very packed with an orienteering weekend but reception staff were very helpful and allowed us to pitch on a suitable spot in the camper van/caravan area. Kitchen/washing up area had small hotplates for cooking. Toilets and showers very clean and plenty of them, but modest people beware, only curtains on showers and no place to hang clothes or towels, only benches outside the shower. Well worth the visit to Neringa and we would return to this site just to enjoy this beautiful and fascinating area of Lithuania.
