As the pitches are on sandy soil one has to be careful in selecting a pitch which does not have soft sand or there maybe difficulty driving off the pitch. Also some of the pitches have ants which can enter your vehicle. Iit happened to us & another vehicle.

This is a nice site in a nice location, long walk to the beach but worth it.

Ontvangst door vriendelijke jongedame die prima Engels spreekt. Voor het eerst moeten we direct bepalen hoelang we blijven en vooruit betalen. We besluiten om 2 nachten te blijven en proberen een plaats te vinden. Dat valt niet mee, de camping ligt in de duinen en er is letterlijk geen één vrije plaats vlak. Als we dit vooraf hadden geweten waren we op zoek gegaan naar een andere camping. Uiteindelijk een enigszins acceptabele plek gevonden. Alle plaatsen liggen onder hoge dennenbomen waar grote dennenappels af kunnen vallen wat mogelijk schade aan dak of dakluiken kan opleveren. De volgende dag komt er een betere plek vrij waarna we daarheen verkassen. Dit lijkt de enige vlakke plek te zijn en het uitzicht is hier ook beter. Omdat de Paus vandaag en morgen hier vlak in de buurt is (in Fátima) zal alles gesloten zijn, daarom besluiten we om toch nog een dag langer te blijven.
Aankomst op 11 mei, vertrek op 14 mei 2010.

Not impressed with Orbitur HQ "Customer Service"! Around a week after the Internet facility ‘died’ a Technician called to ask the campsite to try certain things to see if remotely they could get it to work, which seemed futile as they had already been told that there were no lights on the Router! We also found that the facility for Clothes Drying in the Tumble Dryer had not been working for 1 month before the Engineer arrived to repair it, and was subsequently being repaired on the day we left.

Mooie camping maar erg scheef aflopende plaatsen. Onbegrijpelijk maar we stonden er maar met 3 caravans. Prachtige omgeving. Heel goede uitvalsbasis.
