Between Jerez de la Frontera and Los Barrios via Ctra 381 to Alcalá de Los Gazules. Exit 45 on the A381. Camp site well signposted in the village towards Patrite. Another 4 km.

We were only going to stay for 3 nights but stayed for 9. It is a very peaceful site in a valley surrounded by mountains and hills. Access, although on a B Road, was comfortable even when towing a 7 metre caravan. The site and bar managers are very friendly and the food in the bar, although basic, was very good and reasonably priced. Toilets and showers are always clean and there is always plenty of hot water. The site has a high occupancy, at weekends, because of Gibraltarians, who keep their caravans here permanantly. This site is ideally placed as a hub for a radius from Escapona to Jerez, taking in Gibraltar, Costa del Luz and Cadiz, all well withbin an hour's drive on the A381 motorway. The site nestles on the edge of the mountains of the famous "Pueblos Blancos". Walking from the site is excellent and varied. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

Eenvoudige, rustige camping. De Vlaamse receptioniste is buitengewoon behulpzaam. In het weekend komen er veel Spanjaarden. Ik had het probleem dat tijdens het douchen de deur- die niet op slot kan - door kinderen werd geopend en mijn kleren door de sanitairruimte werden gesmeten. Toen ik naakt en nat en zonder bril er achteraan rende en tegen een Spaanse vader een opmerking maakte over dit gedrag, werd er alleen maar hilarisch om gelachen. Buiten het weekend is het rustig. Wel moet je op de hele camping bedacht zijn op hondenpoep omdat de Spanjaarden de beestjes los laten rondlopen. Ook is er nogal wat zwerfvuil. Veel plaatsen zijn slecht onderhouden. Het plaatsje Alcala de los Gazules is een aardig Andalusisch plaatsje buiten het massatoerisme. In de omgeving zijn meer prachtige witte dorpen en stadjes.

Zeer rustig gelegen camping, bijna aan het einde van een doodlopende weg. Mooie omgeving met verschillende wandelmogelijkheiden. Veel uitzicht vanaf de camping. De plaatsen zijn niet al te ruim, maar de meeste hebben veel privacy.
Een aanrader voor als 't niet te heet is...

A really lovely peaceful campsite - certainly more basic than many of the sites we have stayed at - but it's very quiet and peaceful which more than makes up for it - probably somewhere to stop for a few days rather than a long stop. There was a stable next to the site that I believe you can go horseriding on - but we didn't try, so I can't comment. We'll certainly be spending many more weekends at this site. No mobile phone coverage (Orange) and wifi is not free. A lovely peaceful getaway.
