If you are on your way to the south of Spain or Portugal, you'll find that campsite Pico de la Miel is a suitable stopover campsite. It is situated some sixty km north of Madrid, near the mountain village of La Cabrera. The campsite is somewhat disorderly and consists chiefly of bungalows and chalets, but the swimming pool has been completely renovated and the view of the mountain range is unique.

The management at Campsite Pico de la Miel should honour the ACSI price. The use of Electricity is an option incurring an additional charge. This in our opinion is not in the terms of the ACSI agreement and needs addressing immediately. The site is in a great location with lots to see. The facilities are tired and in need of repair. The same very long winding single track road is used to approach and exit the touring site. It appears this same narrow road is used by residents of both the bungalows and static caravans. Fortunately the site was extremely quiet and the touring pitches deserted on our departure.

This site informed us that it does not accept the ACSI card. The nightly charge wasn\'t cheap in comparison to other sites. Only 6amp electricity, which kept cutting out. Shower block clean but no hot water from taps. Arrived close to 5pm and bar/restaurant closed at 5pm. Not many eating options in the village.
