When you want to visit Vienna as a camper, Donaupark Camping Klosterneuburg is the place to go. You will be exposed to an overdose of historic, cultural and musical highlights. On this typical city camping, everything is immaculate and arranged in an almost business-like manner. The other side of the coin: no frills and a rather formal atmosphere. But does it matter? After all, you are here to visit Vienna.

From the campsite, you can cycle to the centre in just under an hour. Travelling by public transport (20-minute trip) is also very convenient.

A bit compact at times

Everything is well-organised and maintained. The only minor disadvantage is the fact that the pitches are somewhat compact. There are hardened pitches, sites with grass, with gravel and pitches that have both. Camper vans are on a separate field. In low season there is much more space and you can choose a pitch yourself.

Donaupark Camping Klosterneuburg is a typical overnight campsite and is clearly centred on people who are on the move during the day.

Swimming

The campsite itself does not have a swimming pool, but in the immediate surroundings there are plenty of places where you can swim (for a fee). In the city of Vienna, you can swim in both the new and old Danube.

Restaurant and shop

At Klosterneuburg campsite you will find a restaurant with outdoor terrace and a shop. The restaurant has a small menu and offers a daily variable menu of Austrian cuisine. The shop offers fresh bread, everyday groceries and toiletries.

Sehr guter Campingplatz für Wien Besuche, der Campingplatz ist auch für Hundebesitzer sehr freundlich. Leider kann ich das über die Wiener Gegend nicht sagen, es sind sehr strenge Richtlinien für Gäste mit Hunden, selbst kleine Hunde, die in einem Hund Buggy transportiert werden, dürfen nicht in den Stift, oder andere Sehenswürdigkeiten mit hinein. Das finde ich persönlich etwas übertrieben, da Sie ja nichts anstellen können, wenn sie dort eingesperrt sind. Der Campingplatz hat uns gut gefallen.

Wij waren hier in zeer slecht weer ,vier dagen regen .
De vierde dag kregen we de medededeling dat we een uur hadden om te vertrekken ,anders konden we niet meer van de camping af .Wij kregen een alternatief aan geboden konden daar twee dagen gratis blijven staan.We moesten onder aan de camping door het water waar de brandweer stond .Op de Nieuwe camping kregen we ook nog gratis broodjes,zijn daar een nacht gebleven om dat het weer super slecht was .Ze hebben ons prima geholpen.

Acsi korting in laagseizoen
Stadscamping zonder enige charme. Het lijkt meer op een camperplaats.
Geluidsoverlast van doorgaande weg en het spoor.
Er is geen zwembad en de speeltuin ligt buiten de camping (gemeentelijk).
De plaatsen zijn super klein. Zelfs onze fietsen stonden in de weg.
Het sanitair bij de receptie is fantastisch (met badge te openen).
Mooi fietspad langs de Donau naar het prachtige Wenen.

Alle beoordelingen kloppen. Kleine plaatsen, auto kan apart geparkeerd worden, deftig sanitair, gemakkelijke verbinding met Wenen via bus en metro, duidelijke uitleg op papier van de route via receptie, eenvoudige maar nuttige Biergarten, broodjes te koop in de bijhorende shop, aangenaam groot zwembad op 100 m. Als je gereserveerd hebt, hangt er tijdens de middagpauze een lijst aan de receptie waarop je je plaats kunt vinden. Vergeet niet van ook even tot de Stift te wandelen, zeker de moeite met leuk terras.

Camping ligt ideaal om met fiets, bus of trein naar Wenen te gaan. Meeste plaatsen zijn, zoals gemeld, klein. Dus auto, luifel uit en caravan (6,5 meter) op de plaats lukt niet. (geen luifel uitgedraaid) Sanitair beperkt, 2 ruimtes, maar schoon. Wij waren buiten de vakantieperiode maar de camping was vol. Advies ook van andere Nederlanders: altijd even bellen in laagseizoen een dag van te voren. Restaurant goed met kleine kaart.

Zeer fijne camping, prachtig en heel schoon (verwarmd) sanitair. Klosterneuburg op 5 minuten lopen, met supermarktje, winkels en restaurants. Grote supermarkt op 10 minuten fietsen. Wenen op 45 minuten fietsen, autovrij fietspad. Plaatsen idd klein, maar groot genoeg.

Immer wieder gerne kommen wir auf diesen Platz, wenn wir in Wien unsere Familie besuchen. Hier ist alles hervorragend inkl. die praktische Bahnverbindung in die Stadt.

Ideale camping om te verblijven tijdens een bezoek aan Wenen. Vanaf de camping fiets je gemakkelijk naar het centrum van de stad. Tegenover de camping is een treinstation, dus je kunt er ook voor kiezen om met het openbaar vervoer te gaan.

De kampeerplekken zijn vrij klein, maar voor een stadscamping is alles hier goed geregeld. En ook het sanitair wordt goed schoongehouden.
