Camping Dachstein

I waited until the end of my trip in Austria to leave a review to make sure I could properly compare against other campsites we visited, and I can honestly say this little hidden gem is amazing - the best camp site we stayed at by a long way. When we originally contacted the site - they were full (and the website says they usually accept 6 days +) and I can totally see why - there is so much to do and two days wasn’t nearly enough! Nestled in the mountains, this campsite is clean, very quiet and peaceful and you’re pre allocated a pitch all of which have amazing views. When we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest owners (and three furry friends) who told us about the area, and recommended a fabulous hike and shared maps which started directly from the campsite (so convenient!). They also recommended a lovely place to eat nearby, and provided fresh bread in the morning (at a cost). The toilets are cleaned constantly and whilst small, they were never busy. This place was the highlight of our trip - and the views up to the site are just breathtaking. Thank you both!
