Camping La PesqueraCat.2

This is a no frills site but in a fantastic location - alongside the river and opposite the old city walls. Facilities are basic but very clean and sufficient for the number of campers. A short walk into the old town makes it perfect t for visiting this wonderful old city. The woman in reception very friendly. The bar is tien and seeks some provisions. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the river. Very cheap and good value. We had free use of the washing machine. Will go there again for sure and spend some more time on the Placa Mayor watching the world go by.

Easy access from motorway with sat back.Approached from North/Salamanca But after crossing bridge sat nav directed up narrow street wait till third turning after bridge which looks wider. Pleasant check in Pitches compact Toilets etc v clean Easy walk over stepping stone over river to river park Look for path after passing old factory Turn right by restaurant and look for narrow path leading up zig zag path to old citadel in square quite a few eating places and bars.Nice ambience Some seasonal pitches Overnight French Dutch UK Will use again

Nice municipal site. Shower block basic but acceptable. Reasonable size pitches. Very convenient for town. Quiet with no road noise during our stay. Would use again.
