As the nearest campsite to Harwich for the ferry to/from the Hook of Holland, we have stayed here several times and it is very popular with Dutch and German visitors. The large level site is now very secure, with high gates and CCTV, and the facilities have improved over the years. It is disappointing that the hours for eating at the pub are so limited, as strangers arriving on the ferry at 8 pm cannot make it along the narrow country lanes in time for a meal on arrival. We even remember being able to get breakfast in the pub some years ago, which would surely be popular with those from abroad, keen to try a ‘Full English’. WiFi is only available inside the pub or its beer garden, not across the site. There is no discount for ferry passengers now.
