In the French department of Dordogne, in the town of Vézac, lies the Camping La Plage campsite. In "the region of a thousand castles", this campsite is a wonderful base with a family atmosphere. Enjoy the river, take a dip in the pool and embark on endless trips in the area. Whether you like nature, history or relaxation, you're sure to find it here!

Enjoy the beautiful Dordogne

Even before you reach the campsite, you'll be able to feast your eyes on the beautiful surroundings of the Dordogne. After your arrival at the reception, make your way to your seat. These range from full sun to partial shade. The most beautiful spots have a view of the water and the castle of Castelnaud. Don't have your own camping equipment? You can also rent a beautiful mobile home.

The Dordogne River is a great place to be, especially in the warm months. A refreshing swim is a real treat! But there are also plenty of opportunities to get sporty! Explore the river by canoe, or cast your fishing rod to hook a fish. Those who prefer to stay on dry land can also go horseback riding, mountain biking or hiking in the area. And of course, a nice car ride is never a bad thing either!

At the campsite

At the campsite, you will find some convenient and nice facilities. The reception building is next to the pool and also serves as a shop and a restaurant. The shop only offers some basic necessities, but there are plenty of other shopping options in the immediate area. A playground is available for children.

Liked - The staff were lovely, the position is superb, spotless site with TV room, bar, shop, lovely pool with sun beds, snack meals available. Proximity to La Roque Gageac a bonus

Liked - Small but friendly campsite. All facilities are spotlessly clean. Pitches mown regularly. Owners are extremely helpful.
Pitches by the river have fantastic views.
This is the second time we have stayed here. Last year 4 nights and 3 nights this year.
Disliked - None!

A very friendly welcome. We arrived a few days before they close for the winter , the staff were still enthusiastic ! The site was very well laid out. We had a spot overlooking the Dordogne which was a delight. We made use of the showers and the washing machines. Everything was spotless. The surrounding villages were beautiful. We went on our bikes to explore. You can get a river boat ride just 5 minutes away. The surrounding scenery was stunning . The outdoor pool was still open. Very welcoming as it was still warm ! Highly recommend this site.

We stayed here for 2 weeks after booking in for 4 nights because it is a fabulous campsite set in a gorgeous area of France. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, the facilities are first class and the setting is beautiful. There is so much to do and see around the campsite as well, all within easy reach. We will hopefully be back here again. Fantastic.

A beautiful location right besides the River, a mix of pitch sizes but its popular so get there early for choice, It has great all round facilities, a bargain Acsi price of 17 euro a night!!! Beautiful walk into the pretty La Roque Gageac where there is a selection of Nice Bars & Restaurants and can take a trip along the River on one of the regular boats. The site is immediately next to the Camping Car Car Park but given the brilliant Acsi price, it was a no brainer to stay here. Highly recommend and would stay again,

What a lovely site right on the river. Nice area to explore with lots of things to do. Pitches are a good size and well looked after. Would recommend this site and would use again. Bit of road noise during the day but very quiet at night.
