Village Resort & Spa Le Vieux Port campsite is a spacious campsite close to the village of Messanges in the French department of Landes. The campsite offers a wide selection of accommodation. There's also an entertainment programme for campers of all ages. The campsite is located at the heart of a pine forest immediately adjacent to the Atlantic coast and just an hour and half's drive from Spain. It enjoys a green environment a little south of the coastal resort itself.

Its layout has been designed to be as spacious as possible, something that you will notice as soon as you enter the site. Drive past the large parking area and new Arena du Vieux Port (a theatre, music venue, disco and eatery) and you will find the campsite's terraces and shops.

Space for everyone

The campsite offers a range of accommodation, from luxury tents for two and covered wagons to ecologically responsible bungalows and tropical mobile homes. Choose the accommodation that suits you best. If you'd prefer the simplicity of a tent, you'll find plenty of space between the high pines.

XXL water park!

The campsite has a new, heated water park. This includes eleven slides, a wave pool, a fun aqua splash zone especially for children. There is even a surf machine that campers young and old can use! And if that is not enough, the campsite is right next to the beach, so you can take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean, take to the waves on a surfboard or just build sandcastles on the beach.

Liked - The pool area and beach remain great in good weather
Disliked - The cost of activities on site including hire of equipment is prohibitive. Restaurants had limited children's choices. The cost of the car wash/vacuum tokens is far too high and a minimum of 4 which is insane. There are only two electric car charging points which is not enough. Very limited options in the rain.

Liked - Beautiful setting, good location near the beach. The site was well maintained.
Disliked - The area where the classes took place was filthy with chewing gum all over the floor which wasn't pleasant when doing classes lying on the floor like pilates.
We stayed at the end of August but the pool was too cold to use most days.
The shop was very expensive.

Liked - The pools were amazing also the slides , everything was clean and tidy and the staff were helpful
Disliked - Maybe add a slightly different option for food , found not much choice for children, and cafe at pool area was extremely expensive for a family of six .

Liked - The camping resort itself was lovely. The facilities were all great and the beach is absolutely stunning.
Disliked - The accomodation, the classic caravans are not fir for purpose. The are too small to be usable and the one we stayed in was very dirty and old. The walls were dirty, the furniture had stains on it. The bedroom was so small you only have several.inches between the bed and the wall making it impossible to comfortable change in the room. The childrens bedroom had a bunkbed that wasn't attached to the wall so when my child went to climb up to the top bunk, it tipped over. Also the warbrode in that room is actually blocked by the bunkbed so is unusalble.

Liked - The premium chalet was spotlessly clean and a great base for our holiday.
Disliked - Our specific chalet backed onto a camping pitch - this did not help with the Premium positioning; a less respectable neighbour than the one we had would have been an issue.

Liked - Really enjoyed the setup, very secure and comfortable. Excellent staff particularly for the kids activities.
Disliked - The only comment I would make was that there was nowhere to store our luggage when we arrived on the first day while waiting for our accommodation to be ready. We didn't have our own car as we had travelled by rail/taxi. Similarly on the last day we would have used the facilities if we had somewhere to store our luggage.
