Camping L’Arbre d’Or is situated amidst the forests of the Landes region between Biscarosse and Mimizan at a few km distance from the Atlantic Ocean. At a distance of 500 m you can find the lovely town centre of Parentis-en-Borne with its restaurants and shops. Most of the camping pitches on grass are shaded by large numbers of trees, but there are also some sunny pitches. On a separate section of the campsite are wooden chalets and luxury mobile homes. For water fun there are two heated swimming pools with toddler pool and jacuzzi.

Lots of comfort and facilities

L’Arbre d’Or is a typical family campsite for people with young children. The atmosphere is amicable and the grounds are neatly laid out. The mobile homes are on spacious sites with the necessary privacy, have a covered veranda and air conditioning. Handy for families with little ones; some bedrooms have room for an extra cot.

There is a camping shop with fresh produce and a bar/restaurant where you can buy rolls, pizzas and take-away dishes. Naturally, there is also a swimming pool, a playground, a multifunctional sports field and a television lounge. The contemporary and recently renovated sanitary building is fitted with showers, toilets, separate childrens' toilets, a baby area and a laundry with tumble dryers.

Water sports

The Biscarrosse-Parentis lake is only a 5-minute walk away. You can do all kinds of water sports on this recreational lake, such as windsurfing, waterskiing, (catamaran)sailing, fishing and hydrojetting. Also fun: a boat trip or renting a water bike. The water sports centre (Aqua Loisirs), where you can hire all kinds of equipment, is just a stone's throw away from the campsite as is the sailing school. If you bring your own boat, you can use the mooring ring in the marina free of charge.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Liked - The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The amenities were clean and no queuing. The swimming pool was the icing on the cake for my early teenage kids. The trampoline and ping pong kept them entertained too. The location was perfect to access lots of other activities: seaside, water park and tree climbing.

Liked - We stayed as a family of 4 with two teenagers, they met young French people straight away who made them feel welcome. The staff are brilliant and super friendly. The campsite is very shaded which is a bonus. Clean, comfortable, happy!

Liked - The site is very clean and welcoming with nice staff.
Disliked - The proximity of the lake makes mosquitoes an issue and being out of season its all.a bit run down. Sites are not level and flood when it rains. Only one water point for all campervans.
