Camping in the heart of the Dordogne, overlooking the castle of Beynac. This is possible at Les Deux Vallées, a beautiful family campsite at less than half an hour's walk from the river Dordogne. The surroundings offer plenty of possibilities for a varied holiday. Visit one of the thousand castles in this region, discover prehistoric cave paintings or explore the river by canoe.

With a beautiful view

Les Deux Vallées is a very well maintained 3-star campsite. The pitches are of medium size and all overlook the Château de Beynac. You'll be camping on lawns bordered by many hedges, shrubs and trees provide to provide shade and shelter. The sixteen rental mobile homes are located on the edge of the campsite, near the fishing pond.

Swimming pool with allure

Centrally located on the campsite is a heated swimming pool of recent date, with a separate paddling pool. Both pools are nice and clean and radiate a certain allure. All around is a sundeck with sun loungers and parasols. Swimming is also possible in the river Dordogne, but is actually more suitable for other water sports. In half an hour you walk to the bank of the river. There you can canoe, kayak and even paddle surf.

You feel at home here

As befits a real family campsite, Les Deux Vallées has many facilities for families with children. The campsite has everything you need for a pleasant and comfortable holiday. There is a well-equipped campsite shop, a restaurant with French cuisine and a particularly friendly sidewalk café.

Liked - The setting was idyllic & we had a great pitch enjoying the sunsets. The facilities were clean & met all our needs, including daily bread & croissants made freshly on site. Loved the walk into Beynac. The owner & family were lovely & very friendly & helpful. Will visit again & recommend the site.
Disliked - Nothing for me.

Liked - Very nice location. Easy walk off-road to the village.
Very quiet at night.
The pool was obviously the pride and joy of the site owner and very well maintained.
Disliked - The chickens seemed to be kept in appalling conditions, fed on random waste food (muscle shells!). The pen was poky and smelt of garbage.
The sport areas were neglected with the boule court being totally overgrown and non-existent.
We didn't use the bar or restaurant because the drinks were massively overpriced, as were the dishes on the very limited menu. There were very few customers, so why bother at all?

Liked - Everything is so clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is delicious and good value.

Liked - We have been visiting this beautiful, family run campsite for many years and each time we return, the improvements have been obvious and plentiful. Caroline and Derrick, are committed to sustainability and the site reflects this. Our family group contained 4 children under the age of six who loved the pool and play areas . Each morning and night we were greeted by a show of hot air balloons over the Dordogne; in the eveniing, the view of the chateau was exceptional. The walk to Beynac with the children was manageable, even with pushchairs. The site offered each of our 3 generations enjoyment

Liked - This is our third stay at Les Deux Vallées and it feels like home to us now. We had a great pitch with a lovely view and made the most of the pool during the hot weather.
Derek and his family are always so welcoming and we wish we had stayed for another week instead of moving on.
We had a great mix of days out combined with some lazy campsite days and the quiet calm atmosphere at Les Deux Vallées makes relaxing here extremely easy.
We will definitely be back.

Liked - We enjoyed our stay very much
Our pitch was number 18 which was a nice size but found we were very closed in by the lack of space around that area
Toilets and showers spotless
Down falls.
Would I stay there again then YES I iwould as we are thinking of going back next year
Disliked - Down falls. Reception area very tatty and need improving you have to book the bar and restaurant which.was a bit of a disappointment because after a long day walking around you didn't aways want to cook
there's nowhere you can let the dog off to have a good run and play and make sure you take plenty of fly killer and antihistamine cream as some of there fly bite and you can't buy fly killer over there.

Liked - We keep coming back here! The owners are so friendly and helpful and the campsite is just great! A short walk or cycle through a country lane from Beynac which is stunning, great pool and always space around it. Lovely views of the castle and very peaceful
