The shaded Camping des Nières is situated in the Auvergne region, directly on the banks of the Sioul River in the small town of Ebreuil. This is an ideal region to unwind, swim a few laps in the river, cast a line or paddle in a canoe or kayak. The grounds are elongated and offer ample shade. The spacious, demarcated pitches are located on both sides of a wide central street. The most beautiful pitches are to be found on the river. There are free motorhome pitches outside the campsite grounds.

Swimming in the river and canoeing

The Sioul River is well-suited for swimming. There is a sunbathing lawn along the banks. Near Vichy, some 30 km away, is a reservoir with recreation opportunities. There is an extensive range of playground equipment for small children on the campsite. Other than that, the river is the real trump card: for swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. There are a number of places where one can hire a canoe. In peak season, the town of Ébreuil regularly organises various activities for inhabitants and campsite guests.

Basic necessities

There is no shop or restaurant on the campsite. However, a baker drops by daily and in the village (within walking distance) you will find a Spar, a bakery and a butcher. If you are looking for a wider selection, you will find a few large supermarkets at a distance of some 10 km.

Brand-new sanitary equipment

Do not be put off by the old sanitary building near the entrance of the campsite: there is a brand-new sanitary building a bit further along on the grounds. It looks fine and also has facilities for the disabled. It was built in 2017 and is kept spotlessly clean.
