Domaine de L’Orangerie de Lanniron is in a beautiful location next to the River Odet at the southern edge of the beautiful, historic town of Quimper. The well maintained campging site is located in the park of a 17th century castle. The spacious campsites (80 to 160 m2) are separated by flowers and bushes. You have the choice of a spot with much, some or no shade.

17th century gardens

The campsite is nicely laid out next to the castle (a private estate) on a 6.5 hectare property. You have a lovely view of the river Odet, the orangerie and the gardens, laid out as they were at the end of the 17th century. Due to the tidal danger, swimming is prohibited. You can take a trip with the canoe and kayak club on the river.

Swimming paradise

There is a lovely heated swimming pool (750 m2) with rock fountains, massage benches, jacuzzis and three slides. There are separate kiddie pools with slide for the littlest children.

There is a restaurant/bar with terrace next to the pool. You can get snacks and take away meals on the campsite.

In the restaurant, a restored farm, there is plenty of choice of weekly changing traditional French dishes. Grocery items and regional products (fresh bread) are available in the camping shop. On the terrace you'll find two playgrounds (with trampoline and bouncy cushions) and sports fields (tennis, pony rides). For children there is an activity programme and a mini club (English and French).

Castle Park

The castle park with the 17th century gardens and a large park is 38 hectares: here you'll find Italian baroque and French classical style in the designs. Surely worth a visit.

Liked - A beautiful estate very well managed
Disliked - The young staff in the restaurant were lovely, the two older/more established members of staff in the restaurant were jaded and difficult. Pretty much rude and impatient. We found this on both stays. All other staff on the estate were so lovely it really stood out and made meal times the only real disappointment. Food was lovely but from making a reservation to having a table in the shade/indoors, later in lunch service (we were told at 1:30 it was too busy?! It really wasn't not that busy) the restaurant staff were difficult and unhelpful. Snack staff were a super even though it was busy.

Liked - The 3 bedroom prestige lodge accommodation was clean, modern and had a great deck area. Facilities on the sight are excellent and the ground are beautiful. Our children enjoyed the pool and zip lines.
Disliked - Booking. Some confusing between the site and Sunelia Head Office

Liked - The environment is beautiful, close to the nice city Quimper, nice golf initiation
Disliked - Pitch was moderate, equipement to use for sports was bad (tennis, darts), toilet and shower too small and far away, price too high for what you get.

Liked - An amazing campsite with a great atmosphere, lots of things to do and overall lovely experience.
Disliked - Food on offer in both the restaurant and the snack could be better. Also service is very slow and you can be waiting a long time to be seen.

Liked - The park is beautiful and great to walk around. Pools and kids playground are up to high standard. Enjoyed the Monday marketplace.
Disliked - Receptionists were reactive to request to change room, even if at the end it took us quite some time before finding a solution.

Liked - Loads of things for kids of all ages. Great pool with slides, forest trampolines, zip line, footy, ping pong, and then activities on top of that. Very clean facilities. Pitches were good size, had good privacy (pitch4). It is a busy site, with people coming and going but not excessively.
Disliked - Food options limited at pool. staff at snack and evening bar unclear on how to make drinks and often ran out of the pizza options. Service at pool and snack bar frequently incompetent.

Liked - Veel te doen. Wijds opgezet
Disliked - Niet autovrij en door grootte afstanden wordt er veel met auto’s gereden
Geen toezicht bij zwembad waardoor er gevaarlijke sprongen van de ‘rotsen’ worden gedaan
Geen versnaperingen bij het zwembad te koop

Liked - We verbleven 3 nachten op deze mooie camping. Schoon en ruim sanitair. De plaatsen liggen in het groen met veel ruimte op de camping. Het zwembad is leuk voor alle leeftijden en de stad Quimper ligt op (ruime) loopafstand.
Disliked - Veel verschil tussen de plaatsen qua schaduw en ruimte.

Liked - Brilliant facilities, large grounds with plenty to do for all ages. The kids loved the trampoforest and the pools. Also the zipline course was excellent - but fairly hardwork so I would suggest adults try before kids go on it! We all loved the shows - falconry, chivalry & magic shows were all excellent. Safe grounds for waking and cycling, the kids had confidence to go off on their own for short expeditions.
Disliked - Open and closing of facilities on schedule - at one point more than 15 kids waiting half an hour for the trampoforest to open in the morning! Poor guy who eventually turned up as he had all the kids to deal with
