Camping Parc de Fierbois is a family campsite on a recreational lake, just south of the Loire Valley in the Indre-et-Loire department. Adventure trail, tree houses and water park: here you'll find everything you need to give children a fantastic holiday. Enjoy a comfort pitch with private sanitary facilities, a game of pool in the bar and dive into one of the swimming pools.

The A10 takes you via Tours through the Loire Valley, where you cross the Indre just under Tours. At Sorigny's, you trade the A10 for the D910. Then drive south for another 15 minutes. The last part you drive on a narrow road through a forest. When you pass this road the gate of Camping Parc de Fierbois appears. The receptionists speak English.

Camping

You can choose a comfort pitch, situated on the shady edge of the forest or a spacious touring pitch on lawns with a more open character. Some pitches have private sanitary facilities, for extra luxury. Part of the communal sanitary facilities will be renewed in 2018.

Entertainment for the whole family

In addition to chalets, mobile homes and gîtes, you can also rent a tree house. Also adventurous for children is the climbing course at the lake. The lake itself offers all possibilities for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. The children can have even more water fun in the water park on the campsite. Deep and shallow pools run into each other here. The bar at the water park has a spacious outdoor café and there is often live music. The bar has a games hall with a.o. pool tables. There is also a separate restaurant and an extensive supermarket on the campsite.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - The children enjoyed the pool and slides
Disliked - Our accommodation was very dirty, smelled stale and damp and had not been acted for or updated. The slide and pool area has green slime and damp grass around it, the side of the slide is exposed and shows us nightly area underneath, the bar area inside and outside is dirty and uncleaned. The lake is not fit for swimming and needs care and plant life to help it to maintain healthy for swimming or leisure, the restaurant is limited and no food avail el at lunchtime. The campsite as a whole is unclean, tired/old and uncared for. The recycling is limited to glass and way off site. We left early.

Liked - Clean site with friendly staff.
Fun pool area that allowed people to have fun and enjoy themselves.
Disliked - More bar and restaurant staff needed.
Another place to order food during the day would be good.

We were disappointed that the Lake was not useable during our stay.
Obviously this was probably out of the control of the campsite, however an email update would have been appreciated as we brought paddle boards that we couldn’t use.

The rubbish and recycling is too far away from the pitches.

Liked - Loved the campsite, the entertainment was great, children had a blast. All the activities were ace.
Disliked - The bar area could be spruced up a little and the toilets at the bar could be modernised and better lit.

Liked - Clean well equipped accommodation
Great pool
Good activities
Disliked - Some basic additional kitchen equipment would be useful - e.g grater for cheese
More sun beds- always gone unless queuing for 30 minutes before the pool opened.
Lake unfortunately closed but made a difference to pool numbers and available activities

Liked - Compared to other Castel sites, wrong vib for us
Disliked - Nothing, it’s a good site under the Euro Camping family style, family ect. but not Castel branding in my opinion . For example at Chanteloup a good example of a Chateau set in period grounds represents Castel branding.

Liked - In general everything was very good and we are happy
Disliked - Improvements could be better wifi coverage, the temperature of the outdoor pool was a bit cold even on a +30 degree day and the water drainage of our pitch was a bit rudimentary with just a pvc pipe sticking out of the ground

Liked - Lots to do on site.
Disliked - There are a lots of rats on site. We saw over ten! Trim trees around lake and make better fishing stages.
Disappointing that some of the activities closed for the weekend which was the majority of our stay. We picked the site for the tree wires so sad they were closed.

Liked - We had a great week on this site, the location was great, we were close to the main area but felt secluded and had privacy on the edge of the forest.
Disliked - The pony riding is a shambles, the ponies are not trained, they leave you to take the pony with no supervision. The person in charge of the ponies seems to struggle with the animals and the customers. She was bucked off the horse and broke her arm, my daughter had been on that horse 10 minutes earlier. It's dangerous.

Liked - I loved the facilities and the cleanliness of the site and the variety of activities for the kids
Disliked - 23:00 is late for little kids for the finishing times if the nighttime entertainment. 22:00 would be perfect
