Planning to travel the Loire à Vélo? Campsite L'Isle aux Moulins is located on this delightful long-distance cycle route and is an ideal stopover for a short or longer stay. You camp here right on the banks of the Loire, with a great sandy beach just a few hundred metres away. Campsite L'Isle aux Moulins is also within walking distance of the centre of Jargeau, one of the most beautiful villages in the Loiret. Or visit the city of Orleans, also on the Loire. The bike ride there, along the winding river, is particularly beautiful.

This is basically a municipal site. Not very well kept with long grass and in parts there are no marked pitches. It is OK for a night stop but wouldn't want to spend any time there.

A typical example of a small municipal campsite; no toilet seats or paper and not daintily manicured as you might expect from a site in the UK. However, that did not matter as we really enjoyed our four night stay. The site was peaceful, the showers were hot and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One of our favourite small sites. we would happily return.
