The quiet green family campground Benista in the south of Corsica appears a bit dated, but the simple facilities are sufficient for a stay. The nice thing about this campground is that each campsite is different. The sites are about 100 m2 and partially separated by hedges. The many trees on the site ensure that most campsites have some shade.

The beach of Porticcio is 1.8 km away, about a 10 minute drive from the campground. There is a small supermarket and a few other shops nearby. There are studios and bungalows to rent on the campground. Guests come here for the beautiful, broad white sandy beaches in the area, and the many sporty activities.

Barbecuing together

There is a small but lovely swimming pool (170 m2) on the campground, which borders the river. There is a sports field and a little playground on site. Twice a week in the high season there is an activity program in French and English for the children. For young people from 13 through 18 years of age and for adults, there are also activities planned, such as a communal barbecue. There are regular competitions in ping pong, volleyball, badminton, jeu de boules and tennis.

Many sports

You can play tennis and mini golf for a fee. In the surrounding area there are plenty of options for water skiing, canoeing, diving, sailing, parasailing, horseback riding and there is a disco and a cinema in the area. You can spot wild boar on your walks.

Napoleon

You can travel by boat from the port of Porticcio to Ajaccio. Here there is a market every evening with local products. Also visit the birthplace of Napoleon or the Lac de Tolla reservoir.

Travelling party: Seniors

We hebben een aangename 3 dagen daar gestaan, geen gebruik gemaakt van het zwembad. 4 sterren is het niet .
Het was niet druk , dus schone toiletten, er is toilet papier.het is wat gedateerd maar de douches zijn heerlijk.
En de begroeiing mooi gevarieerd.
Een goede bakker net uit de camping.
We zijn vanuit de camping naar de haven gegaan15 min met de fiets , wel langs een drukke weg , en zijn met de boot naar Ajaccio gevaren ( 25 min ).
In voor seizoen inclusief Electra met acsi kaart.

Travelling party: Seniors

smerige sombere donkere camping, achterstallig onderhoud zowel aan sanitair als aan de plaatsen, veel laaghangende takken waardoor je goed moet oppassen voor beschadiging aan je je voertuig. Heel veel hoge graspollen en dode takken die naar beneden hangen. Moeilijk indraaien om op je plek te komen. Voor ons nooit meer. De 4 sterren zijn vast door een bevriende inspecteur gegeven want het mogen er niet meer dan 2 zijn.Zwembad zat een vieze brede laag alg aan de wanden, dus niet gezwommen. Al met al, niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Camping ligt in een mooie omgeving, is aan renovatie toe, is verpauperd. Je kunt zien dat het ooit een prachtige camping was in een begroeide omgeving.
