La Garangeoire castle campsite is a large, friendly campsite close to the Atlantic Ocean. The campsite near St. Julien des Landes has something to offer just about every camper, from horse riding to wine tasting and canoeing to massage. Camp on a spacious camping pitch or in one of the many accommodation units on the expansive site.

A rustic scene

La Garangeoire castle campsite is located at the heart of the French countryside and just 15 kilometres from the Atlantic coast. You can have your feet in the sand or dip your toe in the ocean within twenty minutes (by car), or for fun in the water closer to home, why not check out one of the many lakes that surround the campsite, such as Lac du Jaunay?

As you drive along the long driveway to the campsite, you will see the castle in the distance — through the trees. The grounds contain the castle and its extensive estate of mature forest, grass fields and sandy paths. It's a rustic scene. The site accommodates spacious camping pitches and a variety of accommodation types. Many of the pitches have private sanitary facilities.

A little charm

The campsite is popular with all manner of holidaymakers, from young families with small children to older children and couples looking to enjoy the countryside. This varied campsite is full of charm and offers something for everyone.

The campsite has a large heated outdoor swimming pool with slides and toddlers' pool. The campsite also boats a natural swimming pool with sandy beach, plus a lake on the northern edge, which is suitable for fishing and canoeing.

Liked - We loved all about La Garrangeoire. It is our second year to stay here and we enjoyed it all. Thank you for the kindness of staff, the beautiful clean facilities. My children especially loved the little prizes that were given in competitions, it was fun and they loved receiving these.
Disliked - Having separate competitions for children and adults to compete in eg ping pong tournaments.
More food options in the restaurant.

Liked - Usual facilities
Disliked - Entrance driveway very tight with a larger caravan outfit.
Overall the site has grown extensively over the many years we have frequented but it feels that it is rapidly reaching its limits in ambience, space or overall delivery of its core values.

Liked - The campsite was beautiful. Sites were private, surrounded by nature but not too private to meet neighbours easily.
Lovely activities.
Disliked - Water machine only releasing 500 mls with each interaction was very tedious.

Liked - The best campsite we have ever stayed in - from a family with 3 kids under 10. Plenty of activities, loads of space, safe and spotlessly clean.

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - We had great pleasure in returning to this site where we used to bring our children in the early 1990's and are now returning with our children and grandchildren. A lot has changed and developed over the intervening years with the driveway now a route for pedestrians and bikes to get to the shop, bars & swimming pools all beautifully planted with flowers and trees. It was just as relaxing as we had remembered.

Liked - Fabulous campsite, spotlessly clean and extremely safe. Kids had the freedom to cycle around and hang out in a safe environment. Lovely spaces for younger kids, the lagoon in particular.
