In Rivedoux-Plage, a lively seaside resort on the small island of Île de Ré (Charente-Maritime), is Camping Platin - La Redoute. This three-star campsite is in an ideal location, at the front of the island, on a narrow headland. This means that the campsite is flanked on two sides by wide sandy beaches. So an ideal holiday destination for those who love the beach and water sports! There are also plenty of lovely hiking and cycling routes nearby and the campsite itself has a heated outdoor swimming pool.

Book a camping pitch by the beach

This campsite basically consists of two parts. On one side of the main road is Le Platin, where spacious tourist camping pitches are in the majority, although you can also stay on a motorhome pitch or in accommodation here. La Redoute is across the road and offers mostly accommodation like modern mobile homes and safari tents. There are four toilet and shower blocks: three on Le Platin and one on La Redoute. Want to make the most of the sea and beach during your stay? At Le Platin, there is a series of pitches right on the beach with unobstructed views over the sea.

Fun in the water in the outdoor swimming pool

Returning to the campsite after a lovely but intensive hiking or cycling tour? Then it is great to enjoy a dip in the water. At Le Redoute, you can do that in a heated outdoor pool with large paddling pool, slide and water mushroom. Water aerobics classes are often organised in summer. And in high season, there are always plenty of activities for young and old. Like sports games for children and fun themed evenings for the whole family.

Travelling party: Couple

lovely site next to the beach & village.
on arrival we were given a choice of pitches. after setting up we were told our pitch was already booked..we had to move again.
Toilets were poor condition a showers needed a deep clean.

Good site with large sandy/grass pitches, mostly level. Lots of ‘sanataire’ facilities and dish washing/hand washing facilities around the site, all immaculately clean. Heated outside pool which we used. Washing machine expensive! Easy walk into both La Flotte and Saint Marie if you like walking. Easy cycling routes. Would be noisy in summer as lots of kids facilities on site and next to a sandy beach. Would use again if needed. Friendly staff.
