In a beautiful location, near the village of Montclar-sur-Gervanne (central Drôme), is Camping La Vaugelette. For nature lovers, this is an amazing location. The Vercors Regional Natural Park is nearby, while an idyllic stream flows across the wooded campsite itself. This neatly maintained campsite has a lovely outdoor swimming pool and an attractive restaurant. Good to know: everyone is welcome at this campsite, but the main target group is clearly motorcyclists.

What are the accommodation options?

The site offers a balanced mix of spacious pitches and comfortable accommodation. So you can sleep in an original tipi tent or gypsy caravan, or a modern mobile home or safari tent. There is also a large group accommodation for twelve people. If you come by motorbike, you can simply park it at your pitch or accommodation. Cars are parked in a central car park next to the campsite entrance.

A paradise for swimming enthusiasts

Camping La Vaugelette is a popular base for motorcyclists. Which is not surprising, because the Drôme is one of the loveliest regions of France for motorbike routes. Take a thrilling ride through impressive alpine landscapes, or take it easy riding on flat country roads. Tinkering with the tuning or making a minor repair on holiday? You can, because the campsite has a workshop with specialist tools that you can use for free. After a nice motorbike ride, sit down for a cool beer and a tasty meal in the welcoming campsite restaurant, which also sometimes hosts Argentine barbecue evenings.

Liked - Been coming here since 2010, seen three different owners. The latest visit was just a one night stopover in a wooden cabin. Clearly it was ‘end of season blues’ as the cabin was filthy. We ordered a burger each from the bar which came luke warm

Liked - Used this site before when there was only the option of camping, now there is a range of different types of accommodation, I chose the gipsy hut, which is excellent value for the two nights that I stayed.

Liked - I come here often. It's a lovely campsite, friendly staff, and excellent facilities. Beautiful surroundings for riding. I stayed in a four-person tent with four separate beds, a refrigerator, and a gas stove. Excellent accommodation. The price-quality ratio is also good. It was fantastic again, and we'll definitely be back.

Liked - I stayed a single night, but I nonetheless enjoyed my wooden cabin, the swimming pool and the bar/restaurant. They even have some Weizen beer :-)

Liked - Loved the location, the whole vibe and the fact it was only bikers at the site when we stayed so chat was always easy and you felt ok about leaving your bike and gear unattended . As bikers the place is just what is needed
Disliked - Please put toilet rolls in each toilet as its just not really ok to guess how much you need each morning??????
The skimmer on the pool needs to run during the day as we encountered a lot of bugs floating in the water when cooling down after long ride - these are not by any means going to stop us going back as we loved the site ,just suggested improvements.
