Camping des Lacs lives up to its name. The campsite 'of the lakes' is all about the adjoining lake of Lavaud and the beach of La Guerlie. The campsite is situated in green surroundings in the Charente-Limousin region. You reach this oasis of peace by driving from the A20 in the direction of Limoges. Then take the N141 towards Angoulême, exit at Chabanais and head towards Pressignac. The campsite signs will direct you.

Late September so very quiet, lovely lake for swimming and sports. Excellent area for cycling and walking with nice towns nearby. Washing machines were turned off but was allowed to use the one at reception. Nothing too difficult for the staff. The pool was open but spent most of the time on paddleboards on the lake. Watersports facility over the bridge for kayaks and pedlo type craft. Most pitches are level and private with a few chalets/large caravans. Would definitely revisit earlier in the season if not the same time period.
Mosquitoes but we had a great view over the lake and thats nature for you. A more user friendly motorhome service point for black and grey waste. I had to drain the grey tank into a container to get it to the drain.

Stunning location with pitches close by the lake. Large expanse of water to explore by swimming, kayak & paddleboarding (you can hire equipment). Kids loved the water inflatables. Staff were friendly and the restaurant served lovely food. We will be recommending it to friends and plan to return for longer next time : )
Nothing really. The mini golf could do with some maintenance as it was very difficult, or maybe we are very bad at mini golf!

Beach and lake were lovely.
Shower blocks very dated and need bins at each block as the only ones are opposite reception which is quite a walk away. Also needs more chemical disposal points as only one available on site and it was a long way from our pitch

beautiful Views, great bar, staff very helpful, pitch very good size
Steps down to toilet block need repairs urgently very dangerous as one step almost non existent level of cleanliness not good rubbish outside toilet facilities whole time we were there and shower block just quickly hosed down. Walk way through to toilet block very over grown. Generally poor maintenance and cleanliness for campers.

Location, stunning location, variety of water sports
No toilet roll in toilets and lack of food choice on site. We arrived about 1930 and we all needed dinner but was told at the 16 beach bar it was reservations only.
