Camping de Nevers

View 89 reviews
Situated on the banks of the Loire, directly opposite the city of Nevers, lies Camping de Nevers. Although the campsite is situated in the south-western part of the Bourgogne, there are fewer vineyards here. The main focus of Camping de Nevers is on the neighbouring city and the Loire river region. At night the campsite has a splendid view over the illuminated city. Situated on the A77, this is also a popular stopover campsite for holiday makers on their way to the south.

Lovely camp site on the banks of the Loire with beautiful views across to Nevers and it's Cathedral. Excellent shower facilities with piping hot water. A snack bar which wasn't serving food, but so some campers were using the room. A short walk across the bridge into the lovely old town. Follow the blue lines along the pavements to explore the old sector. This was our third visit and it won't be our last. Bread and fabulous croissants can be ordered from reception for the next day.

We stayed here April 2023 and then returned July 2023. Busier on the second visit but we didn’t need to book. Pitched right next to the Loire as we didn’t need electricity. Lovely view of Nevers and close to walk into. Great stopover site on the N7. Interesting city if you like faience china and St Bernadette who spent the last part of her life here.
