Camping de Chartres

2023 October. Best toilet and shower facilities we have seen in over 10 years visiting France . Heated when we visited, small medium and large showers, plus dedicated huge one with toilet for disabled. Separate detatched room for child changing facilities. Plus washing machine and drier room, reasonable.

Perfect site for seeing Chartres. Friendly and efficient welcome. Pitches are close together but otherwise a lovely campsite. Excellent toilet block but no toilet paper. Nice 25 minute walk into Chartres. Don’t miss the evening light show in the city.

The staff were fantastic, and even arranged a taxi for us. Great location beside river and pitch/facilities are great. Bit of a climb into town but very much worth the effort.

The site was a welcomed overnight stop for us. The reception staff were friendly and ensured we had English language site map and locality. Chartres is a lovely city at night. Will definitely come again and recommend this site.

Stayed here many times before. It’s now under new management and has improved no end. Staff really helpful, new facilities installed, only fault not enough water points.
