Camping La Bien Assise

Camping La Bien-Assise issituated close to the centre of Guînes, a village not far from Calais. The castle campsite is therefore popular with British tourists for whom this is the first (or last) stopover in France. The campsite is located in an attractive, rather flat, rural area. The grounds are dominated by large trees and look very attractive. The rural setting will give you an immediate French holiday feeling, while the coast of the English Channel is not far away.

This castle campsite is located in a beautiful landscape. The pitches are spacious and delineated with shrubs. Many facilities.

Pitches are spacious and immaculately kept. The sanitation blocks are very poor, very dirty and very basic. Not what one would expect from a 5 star camp. I have stayed on genuine 5 star camps and this is most certainly not one of them. The dining experience in the restaurant is promised a gourmet experience, where food is freshly prepared on site. This is not my experience, its basic pub food at best. I had the steak from the a la carte, my partner had the pork, the sauce, from a packet was exactly the same, very poor.

This is our second visit , we like the location, great for Ferries and Channel tunnel. Also there is a free frequent bus service into Calais

Only part toilet block open, water cold. 6 amp electricity. Price much too high. Never a 5 star site.

Lovely site, spacious and quiet with very large level full facility pitches with water, drainage electricity and a shed with a large fridge in it. Easy access to the tunnel. Didn’t use the toilet facilities we have our own, nor the sports facilities. Restaurant was good, shop was weak. A favourite site, we stayed 7 nights in August. could seem a bit ‘busy’ as overnighters come and go.

A really nice site for our last night before heading home. Would happily stay longer despite the price. Good restaurant and other facilities all looked to be a good standard.
