In the German state of Noordrijn-Westfalen, near the town of Datteln, lies Freizeitpark Klaukenhof. You stay in a natural environment surrounded by hiking and cycling trails. This is an excellent place to explore the industrial culture of the Ruhr area. At Freizeitpark Klaukenhof, dogs are very welcome as guests, as proven by the presence of a dog shower. There is also a petting zoo, a playground and a restaurant.

Spacious pitches

Freizeitpark Klaukenhof is a spacious family campsite that is open all year round. You can pick out your own pitch on the camping field. There is a separate field for tent campsite visitors and specific motorhome pitches. Are you on a cycling holiday? Then you profit from extra services, such as a drying area for your cycling clothes, assistance with bicycle breakdowns and there is a parking place for your bicycle. If you don't bring your own camping equipment, you can also hire an apartment.

Animal paradise

Children enjoy themselves thoroughly at Freizeitpark Klaukenhof. There is a petting zoo with donkeys, goats, rabbits and other animals. It is great to start the day checking up on these animals and petting them. There is also a pasture for horses and ponies. Something unusual at the campsite is the apiary, giving you a look at the life of the honey bee.

Explore the Ruhr area and Münsterland

There are various lovely cycle routes in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. There is the Römer-Lipperoute, a lovely cycle route alongside the water, and the 1000 Kastelenroute, where you cycle from castle to castle through Münsterland. You can explore the beautiful surroundings on foot as well.

Touristenplätze fast nur in praller Sonne, aber der Hit: selbst für warmes Wasser zum Spülen muss man bezahlen.

Wir waren als familie dort und waren mit dem campingplatz sehr zufrieden. Der besitzer war fürsorglich und freundlich. alles ist so toll. ich empfehle.
