De Vossenburcht campsite is located just north of 'De Zwarte Dennen', a recreation area that is part of a larger nature reserve in IJhorst. You will find this campsite on the border between Overijssel and Drenthe. The road leading to family campsite De Vossenburcht runs through beautiful and expansive fields, with plenty of nature and picturesque farms in a wooded area. The surroundings are therefore highly suitable for beautiful cycling and hiking trips. When you arrive back at the campsite, you can have a bite to eat at the campsite restaurant (with bar).

Sanitary block was excellent
Couldn’t have a pitch inside the security barriers as we were not allowed to disconnect from our driveway awning and leave the campsite in our campervan

Standard of cleanliness was excellent, from Reception to Shower Block. Great place to stay and I am sure would be much better when during the season. My stay was just overnight as travelling back to UK but site was peaceful and well located near to De Wijk. Reception Staff were very welcoming and happy to help
